Spend leisurely afternoons perusing the well-stocked libraries throughout the home, or simply unwind in the sunroom amid the breathtaking vistas. For sun-soaked days on the lawn, you’ll find both a barbecue grill and outdoor dining. A quick 4 miles away from the charming village of East Boothbay, this coastal cottage is near classic attractions like Carriage House Restaurant and Lobsterman’s Wharf. If traveling with a larger group, consider renting the home next door for additional space. LIVING AREAS Serving as the social hub of the home, the main living area features huge bay windows, three couches, and a 42” TV with a DVD player. A den offers even more living space with ample seating and wall-to-wall shelves stocked with books. For sweeping ocean views, relax in the large sunroom, furnished with a built-in daybed, a sectional sofa, and a bistro table for two. KITCHEN & DINING The spacious kitchen features plenty of counter space, two sinks, and a full suite of appliances. A Keurig machine, coffee maker, and coffee grinder provide all the essentials you’ll need to fuel up for a fun day by the sea. Serve up tasty meals at the four-person breakfast table, or gather around the dining table that can seat up to eight. BEDROOMS & BATHS This two-story home sleeps up to nine guests in the four bedrooms -- all located upstairs. In the master bedroom, you’ll find a queen bed, a twin bed, a 32” TV, and amazing ocean views. This room also offers direct access to the second bedroom with two twin beds. Two more bedrooms on the second floor each offer queen beds, while a guest bathroom is configured with a tub/shower combination. Downstairs, another bathroom has a walk-in shower. OUTDOOR AREAS As evening falls, make your way outside to fire up the propane grill. When dinner’s ready, enjoy dining al fresco on the lawn. EXTRA AMENITIES This pet-friendly home includes complimentary Wi-Fi, cable TV, a washer/dryer, and parking for up to three cars in the driveway. THE LOCATION Stock up on beach snacks or order a delicious sandwich at East Boothbay General Store. For fresh seafood and an outdoor waterfront deck, head to Lobsterman's Wharf. Plumbing: air in pipes causes erratic water; shower water temp changeable, up shower and down bath sink don't drain. Upstairs plugs so old plugs fall out. For this rental $, buy a router extender for the porch and house, for all rooms outside the living room; it's an inexpensive fix. Wi-Fi guy great. It's a quiet area with a good view of the Ocean. We rented it probably the first week of the season. Thus there was a few maintenance issues that were quickly addressed. We thought ok maybe it’s an old house. Boy were we wrong, later that day we went to go use utensils, THERE WAS RAT POOP AND TRAPS EVERYWHERE. The bathrooms, especially the showers, were disgusting, the curtains looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in months and there was hair all over the tub! I was in the kitchen when I saw a MOUSE go by!! The rugs look like they had never been cleaned, the bed sheets had hair all over them! When trying to communicate with the company in charge of this house regarding trash day they gave us the wrong information, thankfully a local told me the correct answer. I DO NOT recommend this place, you would think with COVID they would be cleaning better but unfortunately that was not the case. All of the bedrooms were very comfortable! The front sun porch was lovely. There is a large living room in the back of the cottage that is fantastic for a large group too! This property is exactly as it looks on the web -- clean, spacious, well-equipped, and perfectly situated to the coast. And had to find a hotel with the storm it was hard to find a hotel with openings so we had to drive over an hour to find an open hotel. the second day we finally got a call from the property manager saying that we could stay at another place close by that had power. I feel that we should be refunded for the first night due to the fact that we had to pay to stay at another place. ##### Shawn B. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience would have been perfect had we not been required to act as the unit's opening staff. IE: replace dead light bulbs, find and turn on breakers for the electric heat, place oven control knobs back in their correct position, fill an empty grill propane bottle, report broken refrigerator shelf, missing tp holder, minor cleaning, and purchasing some minor supplies like toilet paper. The property management answered my calls and were quite friendly, but NOT local - so nothing that needed immediate solutions could be taken care of. Basically the property was clean and well maintained except for the above exceptions. I would still definitely recommend the property. One of the best places for fish and chips is Bet's in Boothbay just before the round-about.
