Easington Colliery Holidays from £348

Really nice staff. Peter was especially helpful putting something I’d left on one side until I could return and pick it up. The hotel is pretty big running along several Georgian houses. The room was very large and very well modernised As a hotel they don’t serve breakfast but that’s not an issue as several nearby places do. It’s located on a lovely spot - probably the best area to see Cockermouth . I’d thoroughly recommend it

The Inn itself is lovely and great location, however there was no heating or hot water, and we checked in after getting caught in the rain on a long walk on a cold day so were really looking forward to a hot shower! There was no communication from staff about this, and no apology in the morning. Unfortunately this ruined what I’m sure would have otherwise been a lovely stay.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had such a lovely stay at The Royal Oak in Rosthwaite. It’s a beautiful, quaint hotel with so much character, set in a gorgeous location. The staff were absolutely fab — so friendly and welcoming — and the food was fantastic. Everything about the hotel made it feel relaxed and homely, and we really enjoyed our stay. I’d definitely recommend The Royal Oak to anyone looking for a lovely Lake District break. We’ll absolutely be back! ❤️

Home away from home. Spent Christmas with my teenage daughter and dog at Maple Bank and it was the most wonderful few days! Kate is a super host, making sure everything was perfect for our stay. Most gorgeous guest house, amazing breakfasts and the best cake in the afternoons. Easy walking to great pubs and walks. Will definitely stay again.
