"It was a great stay. Exactly what I had imagined and hoped for. The cottage was beautiful with many windows allowing us to view the outside with all the snow. The spa area was my favorite and I am already planning to rebook the same place again."

"We had an awesome time! The water access is great if you are going kayaking or boarding. But with the little kids, we went over to Diamond Lake Beach and it was quiet and sandy!
Will definitely return one day!"

"We stayed for the long weekend in May. The outdoor pool and docks had not been put out for the season yet, because it was still cool on the lake. The Indoor pool was wonderful and warm, really relaxing. The cottage we stayed in was comfortable, although one of the couches was an old pull-out, so was not very firm and not comfortable to sit on. However, the beds were comfortable and soft, the bathroom was stocked and clean, the kitchen was smart and useful. The staff were lovely and genuine, and helpful. We dis not eat at the restaurant but instead drove into town for meals. We took advantage of the spa treatments, which were excellent. Would love to go back."
"Such an incredible stay- beautiful location, amazing property and perfect host. Everything is set up with your comfort Inn mind, lots of little details/extra touches that really make the space feel like a home away from home. We loved it so much we've already booked another stay!"
"The house is very comfortable and the kitchen was quite well equipped. One thing lacking though was placemats for the dining table, and we were told to use the pot holders for protecting the table. Also, the 4 slice toaster only worked for 2 slices as it had been damaged on one side, so that wasn't great when there's 6 people. The décor is very tasteful, however there could be a few more pieces of furniture than just the basics. It would also have been nice to have a coffee table in the living room for our drinks and snacks. A coffee table in the lower level games room would also be useful and maybe put a cabinet under the TV to store the games instead of them just being piled on the floor. We really didn't spend much time in that room though as it was too cold to sit down there for any length of time. All in all, we enjoyed our relaxing Haliburton break with family. "
"The property was well stocked and we were made to feel most welcome, with wine, s'mores makings, all of the staples you'd need. The owners, who have a place next door are very friendly and came over and started our fires, invited us to use all of the water toys (and there are lots), and made sure we had everything we needed. While the boating can be busy in front of the cottage, we spent a couple of hours at a great little sandbar directly across, and kayaked through to the larger lake."
"The cottage was clean with excellent amenities. We had some safety concerns about the wood deck, stairs and dock, which had some rot setting in. We made sure to be careful in those areas. The setting was lovely and quiet and tre swimming and kayaking was excellent. Overall we were happy with our stay. "
"We stayed over labor day weekend 2025. The house was in rough shape (the VRBO photos blur out all the right places) but it was big enough for our family group and was pet friendly. The lock required an app download on your phone which never ended up working for us. I saw other reviews in 2023 mentioning there was not enough place settings but the owner added many more. There are still no dressers or benches or anywhere to unpack clothes. There is also no laundry for guest use which was also a pain (if there is no laundry, there should be more than one towel per person for a week's stay). The bedroom layout is the king bed is upstairs, and the two queen rooms are downstairs. The second bathroom is in one of the queen bedrooms. The day bed is off the dining room and has glass french doors with no curtains. The table now seats 8. There was a gas grill that worked great. Also to note, there are cameras with microphones on the front of the house right next to the picnic table and and back of the house (by the grill) which was NOT disclosed in the listing, (and creepy in my opinion.) When we checked in, we were informed that we were responsible for taking the trash to the landfill (no trash could be left at the house during checkout) which was also not in the listing and not convenient. Overall though the house worked well for us. Great views of the lake! If we were there during warmer days we would have taken advantage of the giant dock at the lake. "
