I’m not sure how this place got a “8.4 Very Good” rating! It wasn’t bad but it definitely wasn’t very good! The room was pretty worn down, floors needed to be replaced. The shower was impossible to adjust to a comfortable setting.

Driving up to Portland from Southern California, it's the perfect stopping point for the day, and I always choose to stay here when I drive to visit family.

I really liked staying here, check in was easy and fast, loved that we were able to park right in front of our room just because we are alway forgetful of thing and it was easy going outside and grabbing our stuff. Will definitely use that this lodge again when we travel to CA.

The room was clean and well cared for. The bed had a new conferrable mattress and no evidence critters. The bedding was clean and in good condition. The amenity's were very limited. With a coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave and small out dated tv with poor cable channel selection. Not a bad place to relax in after a hike or other nature based excursion, but not a place for a honey moon.

Has potential but ...
Has the potential for being a cute motel. Loved the aviary. However, my room was not clean - crumbs and sticky blob in the sheets (replaced the sheet when I asked), used Kleenex on the floor, black fingerprints on the door, sticky stain on the table, etc. Also no towels.

This is an older property which I was ok with, but the room I was in was pretty run down. If I had a child with me, I wouldn’t have stayed as it wouldn’t have been safe. I asked to have ants addressed when I arrived. I preferred to change rooms (sign said there was a vacancy), but staff said they would spray. The ants were still there when I returned from dinner.

This motel is situated on the shores of Diamond Lake, with beautiful views of the lake. We spent one day viewing waterfalls and another hiking and driving around Crater Lake. This motel was convenient to both. We had family staying at the RV park & chose to stay here to be close to them, in spite of some of the negative comments we read. While it is dated, we felt that our room was clean and the staff did a great job making us comfortable.

Old but kept clean. Young guy at the desk tried to make me pay again after I paid online already. People living in the unit next to me were outside all night talking. Will not recommend to anyone coming to visit me in Dunsmuir.

Extremely dated and tired. Every time you even walk by and touch the bed you can hear the boxsprings literally squeak. Every time I move, the springs squeak. The motel is located in a very quiet area. So that is nice.

Check in was easy, and the large trees on the property made me feel tucked in and cozy. The room was just what I needed. Comfy bed, great water pressure in shower, and a fridge and freezer for my cooler contents. I will stay here again!

Absolutely nothing like the picture the bed was okay again you could see light coming in around the doorways the children ran the place I was greeted by about an 8-year-old boy and then the 16-year-old was the one that checked us in and got us a key never saw an adult it was filthy I would never stay there again and I would not recommend it to anyone

The is a perfect 2.5 star motel. Comfortable beds, vintage charm and a very helpful proprietor. I had a disaster and he was very helpful and then gave great recommendations for dinner. The waterfall 7min was an added bonus

The room was great and we plan in returning for a longer family trip. One thing that caught me by surprise is that they close @10pm. Luckily they called when i hadn't arrived by then and agreed to stay open until I arrived so i could check in. Orbitz needs to add this info so people know that they may not be able to arrive late and still be able to keep their reservation.

A fair-priced Lodge among the cedar trees.
After a long drive, we arrived 2 hours early and appreciated being able to check-in, unpack and rest. The room was ready with crisp sheets and fluffy covers but not fully stocked with towels,soap etc, but the staff were very helpful. The AC and wifi worked great and I like being able to park directly outside the room, have a nearby ice machine and a fridge and microwave. The location is conveniently right off I-5 but still quiet. The lodge is well-kept and reasonably priced. There’s also a swing, hammock and an enclosed koi carp pond/aviary.

Such a cute little gem tucked away. Very nice owner and can’t say one bad thing. It is an older property so things are a little run down but that’s what gives it character I think. Would definitely stay there again!
