Very pleasant experience all around . Great accommodations and facilities .

Pros: friendly staff; very clean, new building and rooms; comfortable mattress; very good breakfast; great location in entertainment district Cons: small lobby was crowded at check-in; lobby bar seating interferes with check-in counters. shift change occurred at check-in time. Hallways were gloomy and room decor minimalist. Deluxe room had king bed but was very small (but functional); Huge breakfast room was very busy and noisy. Conclusion: For a brief stay or business, the Riu would be great. If you want something more refined or romantic, consider another hotel.
