On holiday with my two sons (9 & 10yrs), they loved the location too, exploring around the woodlands, driving and also taking a train trip into Edinburgh to visit the Castle and the Dungeons and generally just chilling in the cottage. The cottage had everything we needed, shops were quite close by, the beds were amazingly comfortable, bedrooms super sized and the lounge/kitchen/diner was a great size too - only downside was the WIFI, we brought our firestick to watch movies but we encountered many buffering problems and by the end of the week it had had enough! One bonus though - it stopped the kids playing games online and streaming with friends and me from working remotely!!
