Nice room & building, shame about the lack of care & attention to detail! Arrived to find the room not made up. Ali, a kitchen worker was apologetic & accommodating & said he would call house keeping back. We went off for 1 hour but returned earlier than anticipated as my partner wasn’t feeling well. When we came to the room, the male worker, on his phone, had an unpleasant attitude, saying he needed another 10 minutes. We said ok, but we needed to use the bathroom urgently. He proved thoughtless & careless - he failed to say he hadn’t dressed the bathroom, so no toilet paper! I brought our bags up & left him to it. After 20 mins he came down stairs & asked abruptly, almost shouting “what is going on?” When I asked what he meant, he said he had been waiting to get into the bathroom. I again explained my partner was ill & asked what he needed to do, to which he replied, clean the bathroom & hoover. I said just to hoover & not worry.. he wasn’t happy & said it was unfair, to which point I noted it may not have been his fault it wasn’t made up in time (now 6.30pm!) but it certainly wasn’t ours & it should have been ready at 3pm! He failed to refresh the tea/coffee/milk etc & left his keys in the door and drove off in his taxi. Stupidly, he had been waiting for my partner to come out & he couldn’t, because there was no toilet paper or towel to perhaps shower instead! Thoughtless! He made the bed with a 10.5tog quilt in a heat wave! Kettle too large; no info in room, Shame!
