Check-in was easy - since the apartment was ready early we were able to ask our cab driver to take us from check in to the actual apartment location. It was nice and quiet. A bit of a walk to get downtown but we did it multiple times with older kids and were fine. Closing blinds took a bit to figure out but they all worked by a button on the blinds plugin if the wall button didn’t work. The apartment location is clean and I did not worry about our safety. The apartment itself is dated but I can overlook that. If you're like our family, we cook even on vacation. The kitchen was not equipped with pots/pans like we anticipated. It had 2 small pots that made cooking a little challenging. I certainly don't expect the same cookware, utensils, and cuttlery I have at home but if a full kitchen is advertised, I'd expect a little more. I also didn’t expect to have to furnish my own toilet paper, paper towels, and garbage bags. The washing machine did not have a drier as advertised which was disappointing. The living space was nice and roomy and beautiful. The location is excellent, with a LUAS right across the street you can be in downtown in less than 15 minutes and it’s 2 blocks from the main river with lots of restaurants around and bus options as well. The only issue that I has were the beds, they were extremely uncomfortable (5 beds and all very uncomfortable) for a 2 days stay you can live through it but we stayed 8 nights and my back was fried after our stay. Also, there were no instructions on how to use the stove and it took a while to figure out. The apartment can get very cold and it’s I think they have a cap on how much heat, overnight it gets really cold and the heather doesn’t turn back on until morning.
