What a fabulous hotel, the rooms were great, well stocked and serviced, housekeeping were great and all staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were half board and the quality of food was superb at all meals. I cannot fault the hotel and would certainly recommend it very highly.

Great location, good pool and excellent breakfast. Room layout isn't most efficient with a lot of wasted space making the living room cluttered and bedroom small. A few of the staff are good otherwise lack 'wow' feel in the customer service.

I had a wonderful stay! The room was spacious, spotless, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. Everything was well maintained, and the bed was especially comfortable. The staff were truly outstanding—friendly, professional, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their excellent service made the stay even more enjoyable. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend this hotel!

What an absolutely amazing place. The staff cannot do enough for you and the place is beautiful. My only gripe would be that you have to pay for water with lunch and dinner. I can understand charging for soda or alcohol but I think water should be included. Apart from that first class

We loved our stay at the Sofitel. We asked a question about dining and the wonderful assistant manager Carla Curti could not have been more helpful. She went out of her way to make our stay brilliant. All of the staff in this hotel were exceptional. If you can, book a club room as the drinks and snacks make for incredible value. We are regular visitors to Dubai but would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and look forward to staying here again in the future.

Room was spacious and cleaned daily to a high standard. Toiletries provided such as shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, etc which was a nice touch. We had access into the Premier lounge - restrictions apply which was a little annoying and the timings felt awkward on purpose particularly for the alcoholic drinks in the late afternoon. So we only used it for breakfast. It's recommended if you have access to the lounge to have breakfast here as it's less busy than the main buffet. Some of the restaurants were closed which again was disappointing as it limited your options. Central Dubai is around 30 mins taxi ride each way so it's a lot to travel every night. Whilst we felt the room was reasonably priced, all drinks, food etc were extremely expensive so do factor this in before you choose to stay. Wine starts from around £80 a bottle. Soft drinks around £6. Beer pint (500ml) around £16. Food on an evening for 4 people cost us around £200+ Staff were really helpful and we enjoyed our stay overall.

The best stay I have ever stayed at a hotel. The rooms are amazing very spacious and luxurious. The staff incredibly friendly and helpful and accommodating to the biggest extent. I give it a 100/10 I’ve stayed at most of the hotels on the palm this one by faaar exceeded and went beyond all of them.

We have stayed in Opera 2 bedroom apartment. Apartment was very spacious and well appointed. The only issue was that our family group consisted of myself, my adult son and my adult daughter with her husband. Daughter with her husband were staying in the double bed room, but another room I expected to have 2 single beds (that what I've booked). On arrival both rooms had double beds. I have asked to separate beds in second bedroom and got the answer that it's not possible. So, I had to sleep in the same bed with my 26th years old son ( good that bed was very wide). When later I've looked under the bed, I could see clearly that it was consisted of 2 single beds connected together. I am puzzled why hotel staff would not separate those 2 beds, making 2 single beds as we asked. But it's not spoiled out stay. We have enjoyed a lot spa facility. Privilege lounge had good selection of food and drinks. Overall, hotel is a bit dated, but may be due to it, hotel has some charm and homey feeling. Would be disappointing if that hotel will be changed into those "square concrete and glass" modern monstrosities. Good value for your money.

Breakfast was ok. Not excellent. Usually empty pots. Wait for long. Egg counters, one lady couldn’t understand what I wanted, despite someone else explaining. Didn’t enjoy. Water, simple thing, no dispensers anywhere. Had to buy which was again expensive. No shuttles running between hotel and city to do shopping.

Great staycation, recommend half board option, food was delicious and abundant. The premier lounge is convenient but a bit restricted in food and drinks timing and dress code etiquette. The spa facilities are a must. I wish the pool had a pool bar. My very spacious room, which I loved, had a huge Bath tub, tub salt and bubbles are not provided.
