Disappointed

Pros: Nice comfortable beds
Cons: Customer service
Location: A little far out from most attractions. Lovely restaurants just around the corner, Beirut restaurant great. Highly recommend the city tours
Not very pleased with the check in as we waited 3 hours with no apology from the male receptionist. The manager passed by and ordered us coffee otherwise we would have been ignored! The male receptionist persisted in trying to get us to have a smoking room. Being a breast cancer survivor I found this quite abhorrent. We turned down the first room as it looked directly at a block of very shabby private apartments with their underwear drying on the balcony! We were told if we had accepted the smoking room we would have had a better room! I had to be very assertive disclosing my private business to the receptionist and was allocated another room within 5 minutes. When we checked out he didn't have anything to say to us at all e.g. hope you return, did you enjoy your stay, have a safe journey. He spoilt things for us and due to his behaviour we didn't purchase any meals, drinks, spa facilities etc at the hotel. The saving grace for this hotel was Faroosh the porter who apologised for the wait and he assisted with a new room and Mr Hoffmeister the Manager, a fabulous gentleman who is THE asset of this hotel. Such a shame that one person can spoil your holiday which you have worked hard and saved for.

Never again!

Pros: Cleanliness and generally most staff were very helpful
Cons: No comment
Location: Poor location, two taxi drivers did not even know where hotel was located.
Bad experience when their card machine in Boston Bar declined my card, and then my wife's card. Proved that there was nothing wrong with both cards by withdrawing cash but management refused to accept that their machine was faulty which could lead to embarrassing other customers.

worst experience ever

The hotel needs a lot of maintenance , specially plumbing , water leakage in the bathroom in both rented rooms Elevator is terrible , No access control . Any one from outside have access to the rooms. Its not clean , worst housekeeping ever. Beside that they allow anyone drunk to check-in after mid night with some bad girls to spend couple of hours , with no respect to the families that are in.

Awful hotel

As soon as we walked into the room, we smelt such an awful smell that we had to change instantly. However, it took them 3 hours to get us a new room. When we asked for an extra towel for the showers, they claimed to not have any available at the moment. Also, the "free internet" was a joke because not a single page loaded. Definitely never staying here again.

Lovely staff

We stayed at jumeirah rotana for 6 nights, even though it was raining on/off this week. The stay at the hotel was really nice. Room was very spacious and clean. Adequate facilities. The members of staff that we came across gave excellent service, especially Nazmul, Firooz, Soe and Manager Dona. I would definately recommend this hotel, 15 minute drive from airport and still close to burj khalifa and dubai mall. Affordable dining places nearby on main street.

Nice hotel

There are lots of eating places locally and taxis readily available. Staff in the hotel were friendly although the price quoted for breakfast was shocking. But we discovered a wonderful cafe called labneh wa zatar.

It was incredible trip. Good accommodation, interesting activities, amazing shopping centers etc. I will recommend destination, hotel, museum of Dubai, shopping centers, dessert safari, boat trip, aquarium in the mall to my frends and partners. The climate also was good. I like very Mach the livans restorants and their dishes. I will return in Dubai with my family. I didn't recommend the old town. It was dirty and like a slam.

Great price, short cab to convention center

Nice, clean and spacious rooms. 10 minutes to convention center by taxi. Close to affordable restaurants. If you'd like to do Dubai on a budget but get a nice room, I highly recommend this hotel.
