Wrong apartment, bad customer service
I would love to leave a review for this particular apartment, unfortunately, we were told that "maintanence had to be done during our stay" less than 12 hours before our flight. Instead we were offered a "better accommodation" for the same price. We booked this particular apartment because it had great views, walking distance to the beach and big enough for 5 people. Instead the "better apartment" was about 20m2 smaller, and about 30 minutes away from the beach on a good day. We were offered no money back for the drop in size, location or quality. Contact was quick, but useless. We were invited into a whatsapp group together with the person I booked with as well as an affiliate travel agency that quickly offered a lot tours they never seemed to follow up on. Once inside the apartment, we found 4 towels for 5 people as well as 2 big blankets for 5 people. Upon my request for further towels and one extra blanket, I was assured they will be provided, then ignored for the rest of my time there. None of those was provided. On our second day there I was informed at about 11am that a TV repair man will arrive in 30 minutes to fix a TV that wasn't broken. As tourists usually do, we were in town sightseeing during that time and with 30 minutes notice were not there to open the door to whoever came to fix the (working) TV. Also we were not comfortable having someone that's not from the agency be in our apartment while we were not there. Lucky I was in a place with WIFI reception and caught the message in time. And the final slap in the face, I decided to take the affiliate travel agencies offer to book us a private car to the airport for 5 people and asked for the car to be there no later than 6:30 in the morning, as we didn't want to miss our flight. Nobody showed up, nobody answered our messages, HiGUests or their affiliate "travel agency". Instead we scrambled to get two cabs in the early morning as quick as we could. Nobody answered my messages during this, or my messages after this. They did however ask me to confirm where I left the card and keys about 4 times, so hows that for customer service. In summary, no, I would not stay at any of the apartments from HiGuests.
