"Very elegant hotel built in 1892. Clean room with comfortable bed. Beautiful interior. Downtown close to shopping. We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant . The service and food was outstanding and the price was reasonable . Beautiful and elegrant dining .

"My wife and I stayed at the cottage for our anniversary and it was perfect. Elaine and her family have worked hard to make this a truly special place. The property and amenities are majestic and the pictures don't do it justice. We stayed out late watching the stars in the hot tub, what a treat! We too are VRBO hosts and as a host, Elaine does a fantastic job!! Well above what most hosts do! Thank you Elaine! We'd absolutely love to come back!"

The microwave oven was dirty. Worst was the door to the room did not have a secondary lock for security. They had been broken off. We jammed the one chair provided against the door. They required full payment upfront (2nights).
The fine print stated that once the check in paper was signed, no refunds were allowed, so we were stuck.
The motel seemed to house those who were otherwise homeless. Personal chairs outside doors and a BBQ was on a balcony. The “lobby” was always locked and I had to make a call to have someone check me in.
This is NOT the quality of motel I expected to find on Hotels.com."
