The hotel is nicely located with a gorgeous view of the Danube River. However, it’s in a quite tired condition. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful.

Old and needs renovation
The hotel looks like it has not been updated since the 1990s. The carpet in the room was all wrinkled up, and not very clean. The price was cheap, $50, but unless I have to I will not stay there again

I was on the 6th floor in an apartment. Great value for money and great views. The carpet was tired, lifts and 5th floor were being renovated but there was fresh paint and nice furniture in the rooms.. Did I mention the view? Breakfast was great and staff were attentive and helpful.

There was Bugs in rooms. We asked for another room. We got a room with no air conditioner. Breakfast was ok

Hotel in Turnu Severin
Stayed for one night only. The hotel staff was vey friendly and helpful. The furnishings show sign of wear. Hotel was in an excellent location, with ample of parking space, it is next to the park and within walking distance to the supermarket. The buffet breakfast could be better.

Excellent value for money, on the river
Nice big rooms, great price, friendly staff, very short walk to river or centre of town. Very highly recommended.

Hotel near danube
this was just a stop off from a long drive thru Serbia. short drive to Iron gats scenic drive which was fabulous. Hotel was right by the city city sights, Nice old fortress

Road trip
I had an overnight stay and it was perfectly normal, bit of a dated hotel but Value for money is very good. Staff were very helpful and friendly. My evening meal was also great so I have no complaints at all. Oh and parking in the front of hotel which is always a bonus.

Good hotel in central location
We are 2 ageing British cyclists travelling the length of the Danube and this hotel was very good. Very helpful reception staff. We didn't use the restaurant so can't comment but they made us a packed breakfast to take with us as we were leavin early. The views from the room were magnificent (6th floor) and the room decor was OK without being exceptional. I can definitely recommend a stay the the Continental.

Central Europe at its best
It was just a sleepover on a driving trip. They allow pets, the breakfast is pretty nice. Interesting, one of the juices was fresh and from peach.

Would stay again but outside needs updating
The outside of the property needs a makeover. The "updated" room was clean and comfortable and the internet worked better than at most hotels. It is very well located. Friendly reception.

Hotel with character and fantastic staff
We had one night here and thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. It has a distinct feel about it and definitely a communist throwback. Look closely though and you'll see lots of interesting details. The staff are very friendly and proud of Romania. The location is perfect and across the street from the town's central plaza. Room was basic but clean and the beds comfortable.

Billigt och enkelt.
Behövde ett rum för en natt på genomresa. Hade inga höga förväntningar och hotellet var som väntat. Omodernt med gamla möbler och tråkig gammal heltäckningsmatta i rummet. Hade varit skönt med en fläkt på rummet då det saknas luftkonditionering. 28 grader på rummet vid midnatt var i det varmaste laget. Frukosten var helt OK. Inte ett hotell som jag skulle vilja bo flera nätter på men för en enskild övernattning funkar det absolut.

Sehr gute Lage, wirkt aber ungepflegt. Fahrstuele historisch, Eingangstueren zum Hotel / Lobby und Speisesaal Stahlkonstruktion sehr schwer zu bedienen. Ansonsten angenehm. Das Zimmer, 614 im sechsten Stockwerk zwar Sauber aber ungepflegt: 1. Kuehlschrank - sehr schwer zum Oeffnen. Davor eine Schranktuere die entgegengesetzt zur Kuehlschranktuere oeffnet. Kuehlschranktuere tut zusaetzlich auch noch klemmen. - leer, kein Inhalt. 2. Schreibtisch - ohne Stromanschluss in der Naehe. Die eine verfuegbare Steckdose in der Naehe wird bereits fuer Kuehlschrank und Fernseher verwendet. 3. Steckdosen links und rechts vom Bett Waren urspruenglich fuer die Bettlampen gedacht, doch aktuell kann keine Bettlampe (obwohl vorhanden) benuetzt werden, da an der einen Steckdose das Klimageraet angeschlossen ist und die zweite funktioniert NICHT. 4. Badezimmer - Rohrgestell fuer Handtuecher: ein Rohr fehlt, so kann nur ein Badetuch daran zum trocknen aufgehaengt werden. - Waschtischbeleuchtung, urspruenglich mit zwei Neonroehren, z. Zt. ein Neonrohr da das zweite defekt, - ausser Badetuecher und Fluessigseife keine Badartikel ... u.s.w.
