"Great view of the Atlantic. The water park is just a series of pools and hot tubs, with two water slides added on. It’s big, but nothing special. Check in was interesting. You check in at the office which is in a convention center across the street from the hotel itself. Good stay overall, our room had plenty of space for the whole family. "

"When we arrived at 4:00 pm and were told our room was not ready. Finally at 5:00 pm we were called and told our room was ready. Upon parking in the parking garage to unload I noted the building fire alarm was in trouble mode due to a supervisory issue in stairwell #3 as indicated on the annunciator panel in the parking garage. The annunciator panel was beeping and had a flashing yellow light which caught my attention. We were checked into room B214 and there is a mechanical room that shares a common wall with the front bedroom in that unit. The fire alarm panel in that mechanical room was beeping loud enough that sleeping would have been difficult at best in that front bedroom. I asked the front desk to be moved and was told no rooms were available. The front desk attendant stated that fire alarm beeping had been a problem for over a week and that they had a previous complaint from someone checked into that same room. I called hotels.com as they were who we made our reservation through and they contacted the resort to get us moved and were told no rooms were available. I texted Missy at 843-222-4521 and made her aware of the issue and she replied back to contact the front desk. I replied that I already ready had done so. Finally that night at around 10:00 pm we were moved to B503. There seems to be a lack of general maintenance in the building since we stayed there two years ago. The locks on the balcony sliding doors in both rooms we were checked into to did not lock and had"

"I would say pass this hotel. The hotel should have been closed while they are doing updates. The pool was down, no breakfast, no exercise room, no ice machine. I had to spend extra money for items that should have been available at the hotel. I will not be back."

"My stay at The Ellie’s Beach Resort in Myrtle Beach was overall decent, but it fell short of expectations in several key areas. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, which made for a comfortable stay. However, the overall resort experience didn’t live up to what you’d expect from a place marketing itself as a resort. The most disappointing part was the breakfast service — it started off okay for couple of days but quickly turned into a poor experience due to bad customer service. The staff seemed disorganized, unhelpful, plain rude which really turned the stay to a very poor experience. Additionally, the fees charged for our two rooms were inconsistent, which was confusing and frustrating. Between that and the underwhelming service, I wouldn’t recommend The Ellie’s Beach Resort to anyone looking for a true resort-like experience in Myrtle Beach."
