"We were a large party - grandparents, 3 grown children with spouses, and 8 grandchildren ranging in ages 3-19. There were plenty of spaces available to eat, sleep, play, and just hang out! The venue was beautiful and well appointed. The pool was used daily and the pier provided a place to fish, crab, and moor the 19’ Carolina skiff our son-in-law brought.(Note that there is not a public boat ramp close by. He put in at Sandy Point State Park and motored to the rental pier.) There was adequate parking for our 5 vehicles as well as the boat trailer. The kids were excited to climb up to the treehouse, and it was nice to discover that there was wire netting around the spiral stairway. We also enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards that were provided. The only cons were that the plug for the treadmill couldn't be found so it was inoperable, and the lower level rooms were cold. And we believe that it should be mentioned in the bedroom descriptions that one of the king size beds is a pullout couch located in the pool house, where the accompanying bathroom/sink is located just outside. This was not a problem for two teenagers - who enjoyed their privacy, and didn't mind an outdoor shower - but might be for others. Altogether a lovely rental and we had a thoroughly wonderful time! All agreed that we want to come back."

"We stayed at this property for about a week, while visiting my sister. Everything was clean. Host communicated well. Quiet neighborhood. Don’t expect to be able to do any serious cooking or bake much of anything in the kitchen. Only the bare bones basics are provided. (Example: we had to purchase measuring cups and spoons. Don’t worry, we left them in the drawer for the next guest ). Only other thing to know is, in general, most things in the house are as cheap/flimsy as possible (grill, furniture, basement bathroom, etc.). It probably won’t impact your stay - just worth knowing. I get it that it’s a short term rental, so no one is going to outfit it with fine finishes or heirloom furniture - but it was a bit of a surprise. Didn’t ruin our stay or anything, we just joked about it all week."

"This property is completely updated, very clean and adequately equipped for a short stay. It was just my husband and me, but the home would serve 4 well. We have late teen grandchildren who came over for pizza and a fire in the firepit one evening. Generous deck and patio overlooking serene water views. Definitely recommend considering this rental. We will very likely return."
