Manchester (MAN) to Albany (ALB)
9/10 Wonderful! (1,002 reviews)
Pros: clean room, helpful staff, great location Cons: very loud. My last night was the Friday of Halloween weekend and there were drunk college kids staying/partying in the hotel. They were yelling, banging things, and slamming doors throughout the night. Management was responsive and did talk to them, but they still continued on. I understand that there's not a whole lot that management can do about who books a room, but for the price per night, I'd be expecting a nicer environment, and not to feel like I'm in a college dorm or party hostel. Is there no policy that allows them to kick unruly guests out? The atrium that every room opens to is very live (think indoor swimming pool level of echo), and it could definitely benefit from some soundproofing panels, carpets, or really anything to at least dampen the sound.
