Area is good for fishing. Area is swift water at times. Small children will need to have parental supervision. Guest Access: As a guest you will have access of the entire cabin as well as the back porch and full deck. There’s a fire pit and benches below the cabin as well as the dock. The Neighborhood: Quiet river front neighborhood in a secluded area of Doniphan Other Things to Note: This is a beautiful relaxing area to bring family or friends. We do have cabins on either side of us but the owners do not live there full time these are their second homes. Interaction with Guests: Cabin has wifi and land line telephone. You should be able to wifi call or use land line either. The porch with the river view was our favorite part! Saw bald eagles and deer. The Current River outfitters stop putting you on after Labor Day, so we did a 14 mile float on the Eleven Point River. Hufstedler’s will put you on that river 365 days a year! The Eleven Point is a “protected” river so we had the whole float to ourselves, with an occasional fly fisherman. Saw more bald eagles, belted kingfisher’s and a bobcat! Last, this cabin might be more suited to vehicles with more clearance. We were in our small wagon which made it fine, just took it slow. Bathroom is amazing and separates the bedrooms. Master bed super comfy. Daughter said the bed in the second bedroom she slept in was comfy. Kitchen has everything you need and the layout of the cabin really maximizes space and is very open. Spent all of our time on the deck or down by the river. My dad’s family were all from Doniphan. We absolutely loved this Verbo. The one thing I would say is if you’re looking for somewhere where you’re on the water be in mind that while the site overlooks the water you can’t really just get in the water and swim. It says it has a boat dock, but that would not accommodate launching about. However, this was not a problem for us. It provided a very quiet and peaceful retreat. Her family grew up 400 yds down stream. Her aunt lives 1/4 mile north. She has many fond memories of this river over the years and this one will rate very high among them. The property location was perfect in my opinion. Great view of the magestic green river right from the dining table, even better from the deck. Caught several fish first morning, money is in the can.
