The "studio" cabin was built in 2017\. It has full kitchen (Stove, fridge, microwave, all cooking utensils, plates, silverware), full laundry room with washer/dryer, full bathroom, wifi, cable TV, air conditioning, and a front balcony with ocean view. The cabin is one of three similar white stucco small houses on the property, each with privacy. You do not need a 4x4 vehicle to arrive at the property. You will wake to singing birds in the morning, and often see parrots over head and occasional toucan visitors. The outside balcony has a large roof to protect you from the adverse weather where we could observe birds while dining. It is located up a steep hill on the perimeter of town. One of the hosts was responsive when we reached out with maintenance issues.Cons: -The shower backed up and wouldn’t drain for an hour. The host said he’s never had this problem before, but we saw a review on another site with a complaint about their shower drainage. If you stay here, the drainage issue seems potentially related to running the washer at the same time, although water pools a bit even without that. -There was an ant problem in the kitchen (and some ants in the bed)-The hosts had gardeners using leaf blowers directly outside of where we were sleeping from 7:30AM to at least 10:30AM one day -I am immunocompromised and asked one of the hosts if she could not go inside the property when we checked in. She said sure and that I could just read the instructions inside. Shortly after, I asked if we could have spare towels, and she started to go inside. I reminded her of my request and pleaded with her to not enter, but she said “don’t worry” and entered anyway. -She also told us we don’t need to worry about mosquitoes, but we then got extremely bitten up by them.-The hosts say you don’t need four-wheel drive to get to the property, but you definitely do.All in all, this place has potential to be a great spot if there was generally more consideration towards guests' experiences. I wouldn’t stay here again since it kind of ruined our time in Uvita, but that may not be the case for everyone. ##### Amanda F.
