Summary:
Crow's Nest
The Space:
With its sweeping views of the Columbia River and Rowena Canyon, this striking four-bedroom cabin is ideal for your next family-friendly vacation. The peaceful, six-acre property is home to a variety of wildlife and is great for watching large birds of prey gliding on the cliff updrafts right in front of the house! The area is also known for its hiking, fishing, watersports, fruit farms, and wineries, and is a short drive from the shopping and restaurants of Hood River.
You'll fall in love with the main level's floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the river, as well as its high vaulted ceilings, comfy furnishings, and all-wood interior. The flatscreen TV will stream your favorite Netflix movies and shows whenever you need a break from the river, and the central AC will cool the home down on hot summer afternoons.
The full kitchen is the dream of any family chef, with stainless steel appliances that include a French-door refrigerator and a dishwasher, a center prep island, and lots of storage and counter space. The kids can enjoy your home-cooked meals from the three barstools and the wood dining table has seating for up to 10 guests. Outside, you'll find a fully enclosed wrap-around deck equipped with a new six-person hot tub, a large gas grill, and plenty of outdoor seating.
Use the high-speed WiFi to listen to some good music or research a new local adventure. After a day out and about, the private washer/dryer will easily knock out everyone's dirty laundry while you take the family dogs out for a good walk. When it's time to call it a night, you'll have four bedrooms to enjoy and the living room includes more sleeping accommodations for extra guests.

Amazing view!
This home was perfect for our family get together. Great space for all of us to hang out together. Very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Can't say enough about the view! What a great place, we are already planning on staying out there again.
Of all the homes we have rented for weekends or family trips, this is by far the cleanest, and best maintained home yet. This home is just like depicted in photos. The privacy and views are amazing.

Breathtaking Views
Amazing property with stunning views of the Columbia River Gorge. Private deck and hot tub.
This home is perfectly perched at the top of the hill for stellar sunrises and sunsets which we loved. Well appointed, had all the cooking supplies we could need. Hot tub was a great perk. Only thing to keep in mind is the house can take a while to heat up in the winter in sub 30 degrees so just be sure to run that and the fireplace immediately at check in and you’re good to go!

Amazing views
This house was perfect for our family with teenagers. We all had plenty of space and bathrooms. The large dining table with gorgeous views and a well-equipped kitchen made the perfect setting for family dinners. We did daily day trips and are in love with the area. We spent a day at Timothy Lake followed by a hiking day. White Water rafting with PDX Rafting company was such a highlight that we did it twice!

Can't wait to go back!
Recently visited with a group of gals. The place was clean, comfortable, and lovely! We kept commenting about how well-stocked everything was from the kitchen containing platters/baking dishes/spices/coffee/etc to the rooms with extra pillows/bedding/nightlights. We spent the mornings with coffee on the deck and evenings out there with a glass of wine. It's rare to find a vacation rental with a remote feel, beautiful view, and within 15min of great restaurants. Couldn't recommend this place enough and can't wait to go back!

Family Gathering
The Crow's Nest was the perfect place for a family gathering. The view from both the living room and kitchen is breathtaking and beckons you outside on the expansive deck to relax and enjoy being surrounded by nature and/or to enjoy the hot tub. The home features 4 comfortable bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and fold out couches with plenty of linens/towels. A well appointed kitchen with seating for 10 was a perfect gathering place at the end of the day. Come, nestle into the Crow's Nest and enjoy the peace and quiet. A week's stay was not long enough. We will definitely be back!
The home was great and the view was even better! The house had everything we needed and it was nice and secluded. The kitchen was completely stocked with spices, utensils, and coffee that was not expected but greatly appreciated!
Our only concern was some wasp we found the first night. We found about 8 wasp in bedrooms and the kitchen the first night we were there. After that we didn’t have any problem. Overall would recommend 10/10!

Lovely home
Home is lovely, wonderful location. Comfortable. we equipped. Clean enough. Wood Stove is pictured and we were told we could not use. Make sure you understand Vacasa's (property mgr.) pet fee prior to booking. Make sure to inquire about heat pump setting able to accommodate temperatures under 38 degrees as we existed in 55-60 degrees F in the house for the first six hours before getting a remedy.
First off, the views from this home are nothing short of amazing. You can sit in either the dining area or living room and enjoy 180 degree views of the Columbia River gorge. The views from the deck are even better. We spent a lot of time out there.
The bedrooms and dedicated beds were all comfortable. There living room also has two folding sofas that serve as beds. Although usable, those were not as comfortable. There are two full bathrooms on the main level and one ensuite bath in the primary bedroom upstairs.
The kitchen was well stocked and we didn't miss any essential items. All appliances are fairly new and in great working order. Lots of cookware, flatware, utensils and coffee mugs!
One of the huge plusses of this property (other than the view) is that there is so much space indoors to spread out. And if the weather is good, you can expand to the deck as well. We had 6 people during our stay and never did we feel cramped.
The only complaint (and this is minor) is that the ping pong table in the gameroom is actually a mini-table and not full-size. The property description does briefly mention this, but you can only get to the game room by going outside and walking to the lower level of the home.
Overall, the property is very nice and well cared for. And again, the views are incredible. We would stay here again.
We were there for my daughter’s wedding and though we only stayed there basically in the evenings I will keep this property on my list! The views were amazing the house was clean and roomy! My adult children enjoyed the hot tub and check out was a breeze
We loved staying at this house as we hiked around the area. We spent hours sitting on the patio watching the wildlife and enjoying the view. This house is amazing!
Such a fabulous house for our girl trip. Four women over 65 who travel yearly together. This house is our favorite so far. The view was the star of the show. Gorgeous windows with an amazing view of The Gorge. Perfect sunrise and sunset photos from the deck. We did most of our own cooking and the kitchen had everything we could possibly need. The beds were comfortable and the house was super clean. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer setting for our trip this year. I hope to have a chance to visit again. Highly recommend this lovely home for a wonderful and memorable visit.
