This hotel was in the best location to explore Flam and the Naeroyfjord. We also went to see the Hopperstad Stave Church. The breakfast was a bit disappointing and the restaurant for dinner was just okay. We only had one dinner there. The staff was incredible, however, and we enjoyed the bar and watching the World Cup soccer matches. I would definitely recommend.

The hotel was beautiful with amazing views of the mountains from the rooms and dinning rooms.
The breakfast and service were excellent.
The staff made us feel welcome.
If Norway were closer to home, we would love to vacation with our children and grandchildren at the Myrkdalen hotel often.

Lovely boutique hotel in a good location close to the Flåm-Aurland shuttle stop. We were a little disappointed with our room which overlooked a neighboring property’s outdoor terrace. The breakfast was enjoyable but make sure you get there well prior to the scheduled end time as things ran out the day we were there.
