It was clean, had the right amount of space for the three of us, and was located close enough to roundtop that we didn’t have to drive far but far enough away that we were with the big crowds. "The Howdy Ranch was everything we needed… From the moment we stepped foot on this property til the time we left it was perfect. The pictures and descriptions are true. The fridge and pantry were stocked with everything we needed and more. We enjoyed fishing, canoeing and exposing our pup to the cattle and deer that visited us each afternoon. Looking forward to visiting again soon."

"The hou8se itself was extremely clean. And our host was extremely easy to contact. The house did have an ant infestation and we paid quite a bit of money for the property to have a pool, only to get there and the pool be almost disguisting. There were dead leaves and dirt on the bottom of the entire pool. I understand that the house is supposed to be completely accesible and it just didnt feel like we got a fair shake dealing with you guys."

"It was very quiet and beautiful setting. Easy to find but last stretch was a gravel road but ok I am 85 and didn’t feel safe to take a shower. No handle bars. And friend with me had trouble turning the shower on. I did like the window unit in the bedrooms. Kept really cool on that hot night. Bed was very comfortable. "

"We stayed at this rental for our daughter's A&M ring day weekend. The drive back and forth to campus is pretty direct and not bad at all. The rental was super clean and decorated very nice! Beds were comfortable. If you plan on cooking there and have more than 2 - 3 people bring extra utensils. Kristen was a great host and very responsive. We found time to enjoy the nice outdoor space on the property but never saw the lake :) We hope to stay here again for a Roundtop weekend."

"My partner and I booked this little gem on a quiet weekend in Roundtop. The property is well kept, the pool was clean and our cabin was cozy. If I could make a suggestion it would be to move check out time from 10 am to 11 am. The maintenance man arrived at 9:30 and we felt rushed to leave."

"We really enjoyed our stay at this Rustic Retreat. We were 4 retirees attending the Antique Weekend. Only a 10 minute drive to Warrenton. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Should be at least one person who can manage the upper bunk. The grounds were pastoral and the back porch looked out over a full pond. That was a good place to relax in the morning or evening!"
