Airport (EWR) 8.6/10 Excellent! (201 reviews) We had a great stay at this beautiful location. It surpassed our expectations - It was clean, a 2 minute walk to a great diner and the subway that had us in Manhattan in less than 15 minutes. It was also very close to a lot of stores and the view was top notch. There is also a rooftop bar an elevator ride away. The problem was that if you went up there and it was closed you could only get to the bottom floor next door and you could be locked in. FDNY was there one night getting someone out of an elevator shaft and they were about to break the door to open it because they were locked in. Check-in was not good. The code they gave me didn’t work and there were other guests who had the same issue. I had to call for a new code which took quite a bit of time, and then they put me in a one bedroom when I had reserved a two bedroom. The code that ended up working stopped working the next day and if it hadn’t have been for my kids still being in the room I would’ve been locked out of the building and room entirely. Fortunately when I got to the right room I requested the number for the property manager and he was able to assist with the new code, which switched again later that evening. If they can get the code issue figured out and get the right people into the right rooms this would be the perfect stay.
