Welcome to House of Erik - a thoughtfully restored 1916 Craftsman in Detroit’s historic Woodbridge neighborhood, where original character meets a collected, design-forward interior.

Designed to feel more like a private residence than a traditional vacation rental, the home is layered with vintage finds, original art, rich color, warm woods, and carefully considered furnishings. Historic details have been preserved while modern comforts make the house equally suited to a weekend in Detroit or a longer stay.

The home offers three dedicated bedrooms: a spacious Primary King, a second King Study with a dedicated workspace, and a Twin Room with two individual beds. A separate Sitting Room includes a twin-size sleeper for occasional additional accommodations, best suited for a child, teen, or flexible guest.

Downstairs, generous living and dining spaces are designed for gathering. Settle into the living room for a quiet evening, share dinner around the large dining table, or start the morning slowly with coffee before heading into the city. The kitchen is fully equipped for everyday use, whether you’re preparing a full meal or simply settling in with takeout from one of Detroit’s restaurants.

The home includes two full bathrooms and one powder room. The Primary Bath has two entrances, including direct access from the Primary King as well as the upstairs hall. A jewel-box powder room sits just off the main living spaces. An additional full bath is located on the lower level; the bathroom itself is fully finished, though access is through the home’s unfinished basement area.

Throughout House of Erik, the details are intentional - from the artwork and lighting to the textiles, furniture, and objects collected throughout the rooms. It’s a home created for guests who appreciate architecture, interiors, and spaces with a point of view.

Located in Woodbridge, you’ll be staying in one of Detroit’s most character-rich historic neighborhoods while remaining conveniently positioned for exploring the city.
