From the time of walking into the lobby the hotel smelled awful. I can't describe it but made the hotel feel unclean. Would not stay there again

I was a bit skeptical after reading a few of the most recent reviews but I must say that my stay here was both comfortable & convenient. The staff was great & the rooms were clean & comfortable. I would definitely recommend!

Overall everything was clean & tidy. No amenities (shampoo, lotion or hairdryer, which I forgot) but didn’t expect too much considering the cost for night. There are was a musty smell to the room but opened window & went away fairly quickly. Staff was pleasant & easy quick check-in. Overall good nights stay.

The area is close to a lot of dining options so the location was convenient for what I needed it for. But this is not somewhere I would go back to. Staff and maintenance crew were very helpful but the rooms were not cleanly. Had to have maintenance unclog the shower drain prior to using it and remove the live ants from it.

Because they are phasing out their extended services, no coffee maker was available. Breakfast items were also slim to none. The shower dripped all night and couldn't be shut off.

Sludge!
The front desk staff was friendly and quick. However, you hear everything in the halls and rooms around you. I woke up in the middle of the night to a gurgling sound, and the bathroom sink was filling with black sludge! It was totally unusable. The sink had a black film when I checked in, so this clearly wasn’t the first time.

Sidewalks were not shoveled ever. The overall property was not clean. It was dirty. I had to request that the sidewalks get shoveled to the manager. She argued with me that the sidewalks were shoveled. The remote for the TV didn’t work couldn’t open it to get batteries changed, it was inconvenient to ask for help from the front desk. Noisy.

Someone tried to get into my room. I went to call the front desk but the phone in my room didn’t work. I tried calling from my phone over 20 times and got no answer. After waiting for 3 hours to leave out I finally left and told the front desk the just wrote it down and it’s now been almost a month and I’ve yet to hear anything from anyone.

Hotel is very dirty . Not good for wheel chair bound person. No coffee pot , no cups, no pans. Next morning breakfast provided with no hot water and coffee. I have to wake up front desk people. Around 730 she came those pots. I don’t have enough words to complain. I will never recommend this hotel to anybody. I will never book this hotel. Towel shelf very close to toilet seat. My husband bang his head few times to top shelf. Front desk don’t have any utensils because they are not clean .In spite of asking pots or pan or coffee pot she didn’t provide me anything. My husband is a wheelchair bound. I cannot leave him alone in the room . It was extremely stressful weekend staying at this hotel.

I booked a room here with 2 queen beds for after the Taylor Swift concert. We showed up and were told there were no rooms. Front desk said MAYBE she could find a room with 1 bed and my daughter could sleep on a chair. Not even a couch or a recliner, a chair where she wouldn't be able to fully stretch. That was a big maybe, more thank likely there were no rooms. So we had to scramble at 1am to find accommodations an hour away as everything nearby was booked. Now 3 weeks later Expedia is refusing us a refund because they state the cancellation policy applies. We never cancelled. We were told there were no rooms and to take it up with Expedia. These two companies can't seem to get in contact with each other to resolve the issue. I suggest you look elsewhere for a room and via a different booking company.

Great desk clerk, clean room, horrible breakfast!
My wife had just been released following outpatient abdominal surgery 1 hour before we checked in. She was told to find a motel near to the hospital in West Bloomfield rather than driving 300 miles to our home in Northern Michigan immediately. We drove home the following day. The motel clerk, Alex, was fantastic, and gave us a handicapped room to ease her stay at no additional charge. The only reason that I gave the motel a "4" rather than a "5", was because of the so-called breakfast - some muffins sealed in plastic, some cheap bars, and an empty coffeehouse machine; not even any orange juice. We had an actual breakfast at the Subway a quarter mile away.

No matter the price it is not worth the stay.
There was no cleanliness. Think of the instant whiff of urine when opening the door. It wasn't even a pet roomI had to be moved to another property. Everything was terrible including the area with the exception of 1 front desk person Pam. She did her best in the most impossible of circumstances. The second property they sent me to the staff was unhelpful but l pretty much put that on management Ashley? who were not responsive at all to a prepaid traveler. I never had a worst experience in all my travels at a Extended stay and will never worry about me ever stepping foot in their property.
