Pere
7.8 out of 10, Good, (29 reviews)
"We had a wonderful family holiday here. We are so glad we booked this place instead of the one on the nearby city Miskolc. The pool and jacuzzi was so much fun for our kids and the food was remarkable. The steak and chips was so delicious! The Gypsy pork chops are making me want to drive back for another holiday! I highly recommend this place if one is looking for a local Hungarian experience with an incredibly supportive and loving hotel team! We will definitely be back next year! "

"I ett bortglömt hörn av Tokaj ligger en sliten by med ett härligt litet hotell. Passade oss som hojåkare perfekt. Kunde parkera tryggt, bra mat, ännu bättre viner och väldigt trevliga värdar. Stannade en extra natt för att undvika regnväder och det gjorde oss ingenting då det finns härliga hojvägar i närområdet."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Detek?
The best area to stay in Detek is the village centre, particularly around Fő utca (Main Street).

This area is the heart of Detek, offering the most convenient access to local amenities and a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. Fő utca itself is where you'll find the local shops and eateries, and the village church, a central landmark. The layout is quite simple, making it easy to navigate on foot.

For couples seeking a quiet and authentic Hungarian experience, staying in the village centre is ideal. You'll be close to traditional guesthouses and family-run restaurants, allowing you to enjoy local cuisine and the peaceful village life. The surrounding agricultural landscape provides lovely opportunities for gentle strolls.

Families will also find the village centre of Detek a good fit. The lack of heavy traffic and the open spaces make it a relaxing environment. Children can enjoy the freedom of exploring the immediate surroundings, and local parks or playgrounds are usually within easy reach.

You'll find the vineyards are vibrant, and the local flora is in full bloom. This is a great time for couples to enjoy romantic strolls or for anyone interested in photography due to the beautiful natural scenery.

September and early October offer a different kind of beauty, with cooler, crisp air and the stunning colours of autumn foliage. This period coincides with the grape harvest in the Tokaj wine region, which is a major draw for visitors.
