"A friend and I stayed at the blue Nile resort hotel, which has a stunning setting and views on the waters edge of lake Tana. It was a perfect spot to start our tour of lake Tana and Islands. The staff were helpful and it the buffet breakfast had a good selection. However the twin room was very small which had not been apparent in the photos online as I had thought it was a twin room with double beds not singles and there was no hot water."

"I had a terrible experience at Grand Resort and SPA on 15 December, 2018\. We booked a twin room online using hotels.com. When we arrived at the hotel the twin beds have very hard mattress. We asked for soft mattress but they didn't have one. Instead they gave us a room with King size bed. But we needed two beds and asked for an extra bed. "Disappointing that there was no wi-fi, it was loud (loud shop directly across from the hotel), and the room security seemed questionable. It had a great low price so a good place if you need a cheap place to stay with a great location - but not a place I would go to rest and get work done. "

"Lets stary with the atmospehere. The resort was worth the 8000 plus mile trip to spend with my wife. Your resort fit everthing i was looking over other much more modern options. It gave exactly the feel i was looking topped with yhe breath of God coming off the lake was amazing. The staff was exceptionally special toward all we experienced even when we were relaxing on the wrap around balcony enjoying the fire a cat some how made her home above and decided to give birth to kittens and your staff handle it very well. We enjoyed ourselves so much we extended our stay and went real estate shopping. I cant thank youll enough and will say i admire the improvements being made while we were there. Thank You Again The Calhoun's "
