This was my favorite hotel in Sri Lanka. The pictures on the website don't do it justice. I wish I could have stayed there longer. The room was brand new, up to westerner standards without sacrificing the local touches. The staff was very is nice and the breakfast was excellent. They can organise any types of excursions to visit the town, day tour, boat tour (which picks you up from the hotel back yard) and spa treatment. This was the perfect ending to a perfect trip.

We had a wonderful few days at this hotel. The pool and gardens were wonderful. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Stayed for 4 nights.. From start to end everything was perfect. Very good choice for those who love to spend some time alongside nature.Close proximity to negombo town. I had a great time at this hotel. They were kind to accommodate me and let me check in very early at 9am. All the staff were really kind and helpful, as well as hard working. The management were also keen to check that customers were happy and comfortable. Very nice room too

This is a small, beautiful hotel in a good location for walks to the beach (20 minutes) and to the main street with shops and restaurants (15 minutes). The mix of tasteful local decor in the rooms and tropical planting in the garden and surroundings is charming. Well appointed bathrooms, spacious rooms, good air conditioning. Naleepa and Madusha are excellent masseuses, thank you ladies! I recommend this for any stay in Negombo!

This was our first stop on arrival in Sri Lanka and it didn’t disappoint. The staff are wonderful, the food was gorgeous and the setting by the lake was idyllic. The rooms are comfortable, clean and have high ceilings and views of the lake. Altogether a great start to our holiday.

Stayed on our last night in Sri Lanka as a stopover on the way to the airport. Can't remember exactly but it's about a 20 min drive. Hence can't comment on the local area and what's around. The hotel however is wonderful. Old colonial building tastefully renovated with great attention to detail. Food was also very good and reasonably priced. A real bit of luxury in great grounds. Room was small but VERY clean, the owner runs the place and is both amicable and helpful. The pool was well kept, clean and warm

Ultimately a brilliant hotel and breakfast. The rooms are very modern and comfortable. Lovely beach location! The staff were very attentive and responsive. We stayed here for our first night in Sri Lanka. The hotel is a good location for the airport and was a very good nights sleep after a very long day travelling.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, excellent locally sourced food, a great environment policy and the amazing 100m swimming pool. Its not a family hotel as such, however there was a babysitting service and a good choice of food for children. The pool is 4m deep (no 'shallow end' although there are steps). The suites have a twin room suitable for children. No beach, although limited watersports on the lagoon.

We stayed at Waterland on our first night in Colombo for one night and the main issue with our stay was that it wasn’t for long enough. Me and a friend arrived at different time and Waterland arranged for both of us to be picked up from the airport. The hotel is a little way out of Colombo but it is in a lovely, quiet setting. I had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location was convenient and made it easy to explore the surrounding area. For other travellers, I’d recommend checking the room options when booking and considering what facilities are most important to you. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and good choice for a relaxing trip. I would be happy to stay here again.
