"Everything about this hotel was absolutely fantastic. And that’s coming from a person who actually had a hiccup at the hotel. I tried ordering room service via the TV since I arrived late & most of the restaurants were already closed or closing but my food never came. I called the front desk but I guess the receptionist never relayed the message about my food because some of the hotel team showed up at my room door. I explained to them that I was waiting for my food. 20 mins later, another staff member showed up with a menu & stated he was going to ask the chef if he can whip something up. 20 mins after that (already midnight), he comes back explaining that the kitchen closes at 11. Mind you, my original order was placed around 10:20-10:30. I was a bit upset & yes, maybe a should shave a star off but the night manager showed up again, sincerely apologized & gave me a bowl of fruit to hold me over until the morning. Other than that, the hotel is absolutely fantastic - great customer service, beautiful decor & great fitness facility. This still made it to my top 5 hotels list (and mind you, I travel a lot). "

"Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is in a good location across from Shah I Zinda, walking distance to Registan Square and Bibi Khanym. Rooms are good sized and clean. Defintely would stay here again. "

"Hotel is in prime location, just a short walk to key attractions in Khiva. Check in was a breeze as the staff instantly knew that i have a booking. The hotel feels modern, and the room is nicely decorated and clean. The photos I took didn't look as pretty as the actual. Cars are not able to park directly in front of the hotel because the "main road" which leads to the attractions are only for carts and bicycles but not for vehicles. It's a short walk of less than 5mins to the (car accessible) road so it's not much of an issue. On our last day, the staff of the hotel helped to bring our luggage all the way to the car which takes us to the train station. We are happy with our stay at Sangzor."

"The hotel is located in a very good location with shops and restaurants nearby. The surrounding area is safe and quiet at night. From the hotel I can walk to the famous tourist attraction: the Registan. The room is very clean and its amenities are in very good condition; breakfast buffet is very good. The hotel staff speaks English well and very helpful. This is the best hotel that I stayed in Uzbekistan."

"Wonderful hotel with delicious breakfasts including freshly cooked eggs to order and real coffee. Good location with a 15 minute walk through parks to the Registan. Staff were excellent with good English. The only slight negative was that the bathroom ventilation was poor, and when we mentioned that to the manager, he moved us to another better room with a much better bathroom. Excellent service!"
