Gorgeously decorated to suit the medieval building, very ample room with everything one needs for a pleasant stay. The breakfast was great! Fresh fruit, yoghurt, muesli, ham, cheese, nuts, cakes, toast and jam. The lady owner was very welcoming and helpful. Although Hotels.com advertises the Tower with air conditioning, the place does not have it, but despite the hot weather the room stayed sufficiently cool to enjoy the Tower and the surroundings. Highly recommended for its uniqueness.

Perfect overnight stay

We were lucky enough to happen across this gem when searching for a quiet location close to Santander that would accommodate us and our two small dogs in a hurry. We were taken aback by the extent of kindness and curtesy extended to us by Ivan and warmed by a welcome that was genuine. I cannot rate this hotel and it’s staff highly enough. We visited in the middle of July just after Covid 19 restrictions were lifted. We drove from A Coruna and arrived after midnight. We booked one double room for myself, husband and small dog and a second for our 25 year old daughter. We received the most warm welcome despite the late hour and this continued throughout our stay. This is a wonderful little family run hotel. It has well maintained rustic interiors and a cute internal courtyard with artificial grass, tables and sofas. It’s pet friendly so makes a perfect stop with our dogs as we drive from southern Spain to the ferries or to France on our way home. A simple breakfast is available and cooked to order. Great size suite, easy check in and lovely spa facilities. Short staffed in the restaurant and service was less than perfect. A special building, particularly the central atrium.

A beautiful hotel in the waterfront, about thirty minutes by Metro, outside of Bilbao City. Within ten minutes walk of two Metro stations, it was a wonderful base to explore the city and have the tranquility of water to retreat to. Some nearby bars and shops too made for a very pleasant weekend break for me and my daughter, they're for a big right match in San Mamés. Will definitely go back with my family.

A lovely setting. The building elegant outside, functional inside. A lovely riverside setting, close to the historic centre. Staff very helpful. Room very comfortable, breakfast more than ample!
