The broken bridge you see here was damaged in the Uttarakhand floods in 2013 that destroyed thousands of villages. The important thing is they made a new one. I was at Valley of flowers, Uttarakhand in the last week of July, a 6 day trip - my first after leaving the cubicle, also my first without anyone I knew.
