"My rating is a low 4/5. Check in was terrible. We arrived well after check in time after a long flight and they couldnt find our booking. We waited around for over an hour before they "found" our room. Got into the room and there was a very strong smell of cigarette smoke. The bathroom floor tiles were not cleaned properly.
The other staff at the restaurants, Host cafe and security personnel were polite and friendly"
"I enjoyed staying but i was denied of having a breakfast that i asked for on Friday morning 1st by one of your male staff at around 6:30. He says only those that accommodate are allowed. But i was accommodated since Wednesday 29 April. Anyway thanks for your hospitality and kindness "
"The room and its ensuite were more than adequate for two days. There was a fridge, coffee and a kettle, and soap. The room had an evaporative cooler, louvres, and got cross ventilation, because the room was on the third storey.
There's a communal kitchen, with pots, pans, stove, and microwave.
There's a shop next door, where bottles of drinking water, packet noodles, and eggs were the main purchase during my stay.
Airport transfers were provided as part of the stay.
Staff members, such as Lena, Morris, Emma, Anna, and Margaret, are most gracious. The manager, Kule, is also an asset to the business.
Staff accompany you at the drop of a hat, on any additional journeys you want to do, to wherever you want to go (within reason, of course), in the businesses nice, air-conditioned van (when it is available) - just contribute your own money toward the petrol purchase, for your journeys around town. This way, you are safe, and not hassled by spruikers, or potentially overcharged by taxi drivers. (The location of this accommodation was not immediately near local bus services.)
Plus, I think it's nice to tip staff, or at least buy them food, during their day accompanying you. They go out of their way to accommodate you.
My outbound flight was a slightly awkward mid-afternoon time, and the manager let me stay on in the room a couple of hours after checkout time. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hohola Apartments and recommend it to anyone."
"An amazing trip with friends. Dinner was great but lunch wasn’t good at all. We ordered a bunch of things from the menu but everything was subpar. The only disappointing part of our trip"
