"If you can't climb stairs and big steps, this isn't for you. It's a great looking suite. The bed was comfortable and the shower is large (don't know why they are obsessed with clear bathrooms though). Make sure you have the lights on overnight for the steps in the suite because you could easily forget about them. Surprisingly quiet considering the hustle & bustle outside where everyone gathers to eat/drink. Perfect distance for a smoke on the walk to the train station and it feels safe at night. It's a small 2 stop train journey from Amsterdam central. Has a few shops to get your groceries, fast food, Primark etc. Have stayed in the Monument previously and really likes the hotel then. The suites are a step up."
