"We love this house. It’s big and airy; it has a deluxe shower; and the kitchen is great. We enjoy off-road adventuring, and Cedarville is the perfect home base for exploring the Warner Mountains to the west and the gorgeous high desert to the east. This was our third stay at Steamboat Stopover Ranch, and we hope to be back next year. Our host, Pam, made us feel welcome — we enjoy our conversations about ranch life. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, not to mention fabulous views, this is the place."

"This was our first time visiting Modoc County and we are so happy we booked Gooseloop Getaway for our 4-night stay. This lovely home is THE BEST place to stay when visiting Alturas and for day trips throughout gorgeous Modoc County. So quiet and peaceful, set amongst the trees yet just a few minutes drive to town. Entire house was extremely clean and updated. So many amenities - TV’s, great WiFi service, barbeque and patio set outside. Air conditioning was nice to have on a few warm days. If you forgot something, don’t worry, it’s probably available in the house. Well stocked kitchen if you want to cook and the sparkling bathrooms had plenty of towels and toiletries. Comfortable beds! The host is very nice and responds quickly to your messages. We really enjoyed everything at Gooseloop Getaway and would definitely stay here again. "
