Running Y Resort

"Had a good time as we stayed her for the Juneteenth and Father's day weekend. The location is so nice. However, it is a bot far away from the city and there is not much in the resort. The restaurant is good, however the staff is just Okay with their service. Hotel staff (front desk and house keeping) needs a lot of improvements to create a better experience. Front desk is not taking any interest to explain the amenities on site like Spa, fitness center, golf etc., Hope they can do a little better job.. Called house keeping for coffee pods and no response from them and I have to go down to get them. Overall the place is great, room is clean and even with these small issues, we still had a pretty good time. However it could have been better."

"The hotel was recently renovated and clean and comfortable and roomy. The fact that it had a full fridge and kitchen was great. I travel with my dog and she eats raw, so having a fridge and sink are key. It was a great location and we could walk everywhere in town. Also, close enough to the highway, but far enough away to not be seedy."

"Clean well kept property. Front desk person was so welcoming on arrival and kind to other people too. We didn’t go to the pool/hot tub but it was inviting. Breakfast was decent. And they kept the area clean with plenty of fresh food. We did have the unfortunate experience of a domestic fight on the 3rd floor, very late at night (near midnight), right outside our door. I would not dare open the door for fear of safety. But before I could call 911 it appeared someone else did (perhaps the front desk person) and 2 sheriffs showed up. That took care of the problem. It was unfortunate to lose the needed sleep. No fault of the hotel! I’d stay again for sure but request ground floor to avoid any riff raff."

"This hotel/motel was only a few minutes from the Lake of the Woods where I was joining a big family reunion. The bathroom was very modern (e.g., a glass enclosed shower.) I did mention to the staff that they might consider replacing the drapes. I also wished there were more places in the room to set things down. The AC worked just fine."
