"Upon arrival the staff was preoccupied and showed minimal interest in checking us in to our rooms. Went to the rooms and one was not cleaned nor prepped for guests, bed was unmade, trash in trash in trash cans, housekeeping did not clean the room from previous day. The other two rooms were not stocked with towels, toilets were filthy, furniture in the room was in disrepair and stained, conforters on the beds were stained. Overall all condition was extremely terrible. Surprised this hotel bares the Wyndham name. Exited the hotel through the lobby and was observed a lady barefooted sitting on the floor cleaning the front door glass and appeared to be under the influence. Overall the Super 8 in Independence is horrific at best "

"What a delightful place to stay off the beaten path! Sooooo peaceful here! We thoroughly enjoyed walking around the property and learning its history. Our room was perfectly clean and quiet, offering a most restful night’s stay. Will definitely recommend to others!"
