The security guy sent us to Golden Tulip hotel. - The guy at the reception told us that Golden Tulip is 4-star hotel which is not even actually deserving 2-stars - The breakfast has almost nothing. And what they serve was all perished. - Rooms were horrible, noisy and dirty. - The staff attitude was the only thing we appreciated. "

I found it overpriced compared to other hotels in the area, but it is licensed. In need of updating but is in a great location. May have been a 4 star at one time, but felt more like a 3 star."

"Atallah didn't know or forgot he had a reservation. A few different guides and accommodations' people called Atallah for me (closed/no answer) or commented that Atallah didn't have any reservations. Seems like they all know each other; and 'Atallah" is a common name. But, it came down to me leaving Wadi Rum for Aqaba instead."

"Wild Oryx was out of the way of other bubble camps which is what we wanted. We wanted quiet and no light pollution so that we could see the stars. Eid is the owner and very attentive. While planning I appreciated his quick and thorough responses. The camp is what is expected from a camp in the dessert. The food was good local food. The activities are great but pricey. The staff were very friendly. We were very happy with our stay. "
