"What we enjoyed the most was the simplicity of everything! The design of the cabin! The peaceful feeling u have just being there, we are a very simple couple with 6 children so we are very busy with hectic schedules, so we really enjoyed the quite the privacy, the sound of the birds the fishing, eating our meals on the Porch. The cabin exceeded our expectations! The surrounding was breathtaking. Honestly there is nothing that needed to be better or different, it was perfect exactly as is!"

"Amy was a great host and provided a clean and well-kept home. There were sample size toiletries which we ended up needing so that came in handy. I did not make use of the tub but it was definitely a nice feature. The pictures don’t do it justice. Also having two bathrooms both including showers when you have 4 children with you is very useful. There were plenty of kitchen supplies —we only used cups and plates but had we wanted to cook, it would have been easy with all that was provided. There was a Keurig with plenty of coffee and hot cocoa options and we made ample use of it since I hadn’t brought my coffee pot. Was glad to not have to go buy k-cups for Saturday morning since we got in late Friday night. I had planned this trip for a quiet and short getaway with our son who attends Binghamton 20 min away so that we could all be “away”. I had brought games but we also made use of several provided by the host including Jenga and Trouble. We had a wonderful view of the Susquehanna River and walked along its shore in front of the home observing many of nature’s features. The dirt road leading to the home is private to a few homes off the main road and the river is easily accessible. It basically fronts on the river which was not totally apparent from pictures. Even in winter it is enjoyable for the serenity it affords. Eating out was not optimal. Most local eateries unfortunately have closed permanently so we went to a diner in Harpursville that we would not ever use again. Surprisingly the Citgo station down the road has an excellent market and deli within it that a local person recommended. At “Windsor Country Mart” we were able to get Boar’s Head for sandwiches, fried chicken fingers, hamburgers and fries. They have a sandwich and hot food menu; you can order by phone and pick up. There is not a sit down area so we brought it back to house This was a much better option by far and close! We visited Jackson’s General Store in town which was great. Stocked with lots of local artisan works and food. They started as a locally sourced meat market; we bought several meats to try at home. They are frozen solid post-processing, so easy to pack in cooler for travel —had it been a longer trip, it would definitely be an option to defrost and cook at the home. Overall I was really pleased with the home and our stay. It was just as described. I would plan better around food in the future and make more use of deli and kitchen."
