The owners have also provided the home with a telescope and binoculars to help you spot them as well. You'll also have access to a DVD/Blu-Ray player, Wi-Fi, board games, cable TV, and more.

The back deck is perfect for catching some sun as you listen to the crash of the waves on the shoreline. You'll also find a BBQ and outdoor furniture to relax on during your stay, so bring the ribs and fire up the grill during your summer stay.

You'll also have a row of dressers to use for your belongings during your stay, as well as a flat screen TV.

A large futon couch sits in front of a 65" plasma screen TV where you can watch the game or just have a movie night inside. Behind you, you'll see a ping pong table, shuffleboard, foosball table, and an arcade game. A third bathroom sits on this floor, containing a shower/tub combo. Pros:View is amazing Kitchen is well stocked for cooking2 fridges Lots of games Cons: Hot tub access is just bad Beds are hard and loud with slightest movement Overall it’s a nice place. We enjoyed our stay
The property & location is outstanding. Spacious inside & out & a very private feel. We were all beyond impressed, teenage boys & adults alike. My only suggestion might be upgrading kitchen pans/cookware a bit, more plates/wine glasses & some basic spices for cooking. However, the home, back lawn/patio/hot-tub area was perfection. Adults enjoyed the view & kids had space to toss the football & go exploring on the rocks & tidepools right out front!
The view was incredible and was the hughlight of the stay. The house is older, but you can tell they are working on upgrades. The house was comfortable for our group of two adult couples. I loved the basement and the games, but I'm 5'5" and the rest of our group is all 5'10" or taller and felt like they had to duck. The futon downstairs was very cofortable and could definitely be another bed. The kitchen is beautiful and the deck had a great new grill. The TV upstairs wasnt working well and the hot tub wasn't getting very hot, but again the views from both were amazing!
The location is amazing, the kitchen and bathrooms were clean…. The blinds not so much and we found beer cans in the windowsills from past renters….. we addressed a couple issues before we arrived, the bed was moved away from the wall in the second bedroom, as asked, I also asked for bedding to be left for the futon downstairs and sheets were left…. We ran out of propane the first day, and had to take the tank and fill it … we were told we would be credited for the propane as well as the hot tub, which was not in working order on ours stay …. and there wasn’t enough dishwasher tabs left so we had to go purchase them …, And that’s the the reason I took one star off…..

Made me appreciate my home
The rental property was okay. I would suggest that it gets a few upgrades. Almost every rental property we have stayed at has a keyless entry code. Especially with the salt air, it was difficult to open and close the corroded lock boxes. Also, it is much easier and hassle-free to not worry about carrying or losing a key while we are out and about. Upon entry, we were met with a pile of dog fur (we left some too so not the biggest deal!) and a note on the washing machine stating not to use it because it was smoking!! We had difficulty with the heat (the iPhone died, even though it was plugged in.) and the stovetop, which is oddly difficult to use. The kitchen wasn't as well stocked as stated, and we had very few towels in the kitchen and bathrooms. The game room was a blast and the ocean view was phenomenal. We did enjoy our stay but will probably be looking for another place, with up-to-date more comfortable bedding, on our return to the Oregon coast.
House was charming and the view from the kitchen/living room area and back porch was spectacular! We enjoyed the game room downstairs. We weren’t able to use the hot tub until the second day, had to wait for it to get warm enough, but definitely enjoyed it. The only thing missing was a kitchen towel and some oven mitts
Great! Amazing whale watching and a wonderful place. True to other reviews you do have to walk around the place to get to the hot tub but not a problem since that was expected. The view was great. Don’t think there is beach access but also expected that. Loved staying there and listening to the ocean.
This was a great choice for our family. We have two couples staying here and family with kids staying in Otter Rock who enjoyed the game room and having meals in the large living space upstairs. Tons of towels available, decent amount of tools in the kitchen for cooking. Being able to have the dogs was much appreciated. Thank you!
The place was incredibly clean and spacious. Perfect for teenagers and our young adults . The whales didn't disappoint and visited us daily. We will be back to this property for sure.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us! This is our second stay. We love the views and how cozy your home is. Looking forward to visiting each season as it offers something new each time.
Awesome please please do everyone that’s going to rent here in the future a favor, respect the land respect the ocean and respect the neighbors. Because it is very peaceful calm beautiful place.
The views from this property were amazing. However, the pictures in the advertisement made the property seem to be significantly more glamorous than it turned out to be. The downstairs location in particular was cramped, old and musty smelling. And while the views from the hot tub, and the chairs in the backyard were amazing, they required walking through unloaded grass with no path to get there which made them both less appealing.
Wonderful setting. Saw numerous whale sightings from the back deck. House was well supplied (glassware for drinks non existent) with appliances and kitchen stuff. Game room was a hit by all. Will return.

For you info.
Property doesn’t provide any spices salt pepper, etc. Take extra blankets and pillows. Mattress sheets, bedding could be better quality.

Reviewer Comments:
We were very pleased with the home, only drawback, you need to get in your car and drive to beach access, however the view of the ocean was wonderful and we were blessed with delightful weather. One observation, there were numerous signs posted in the neighborhood that were anti-vacation rentals which made us feel a bit unwanted.
Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. We will definitely rent again given the opportunity. We were disappointed to discover the advertised hot tub was locked. And we did have an issue with the washing machine smoking and smelling like petroleum, but the rental company was very responsive. This happened the day before check out so it didn't cause us any issues. Again, lovely home. Thank you.
Communication was great (thank you) and the view was just awesome including some happy whales and seals. Kitchen was very accommodating once we figured out the cooktop (ha). All four of us complained about the beds not being comfy so that was a bummer for us. Deck is awesome and we enjoyed it a lot. Besides the beds, the access to the hot tub is just wrong. Drop some stairs off the deck or at least make is to you can use the basement door to go out. I did wonder about egress with not being able to get out of the basement other than by the stairs. Also, please, we're begging here, consider at least an 11AM checkout. It's a sucky way to end the vacation having to get out by 10 with packing, gathering laundry, getting the garbage out and dishes started. Your rates are up there enough so please consider. Thanks.
My sister and I had a lovely time at the house. We enjoyed fantastic views from so many places in/on the property. The deck was lovely and I could sit there all day listening to the waves crash. There was an eagle perched on a nearby rock that we were able to see several different times. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. There is a slight musty smell in the basement that may be a challenge for someone with certain allergies or respiratory issues. The kitchen was well stocked. The location is fantastic. Depot Bay is great! And, we enjoyed the short drive to Newport. We definitely enjoyed our stay and hope to stay again very soon. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Whales every day, but accommodations lacking
Awesome location in a quiet neighborhood. We saw whales from the deck every day!!
We booked for 6 adults but there was only bedding for the two rooms upstairs and nothing for the futon downstairs. I called 3 times and emailed as well, no one ever responded or brought us any additional bedding.
The downstairs game room has a very low ceiling so enjoying the games was tricky.
Overall a decent stay but we wouldn’t book this house again.
