  • Summary:

19937 - Ebb and Flow: 1 Mile to Nantucket Sound Beaches!

    The Space:

Travel to your own private compound in the heart of Dennis, where your dog can run free on a sprawling yard while your family and friends will have plenty of space to relax and enjoy your holiday. With incredible amenities in both the main house and guest house, as well as a centralised location to everything the Mid Cape has to offer, you’ll be happy to go with the Ebb and Flow.

Step onto the farmers porch of the main home with ample seating and a beautiful tree stump coffee table while taking in the colourful hydrangeas. Push open the front door into the home's formal dining room, which provides a great space for an evening meal, morning coffee, or family game night. The TV room's spacious sectional gives plenty of comfort for film nights, while just past that, a formal living room with a unique curved sofa is the perfect space to read a book in peace and quiet.

On the opposite side of the home a dine-in kitchen with wooden worktops and round dining table awaits your holiday meal creations. The home's deck is accessed off of the kitchen, with outdoor dining for meals in the summer sun or under the stars.

Back indoors, The ground floor has a cosy room with a twin daybed, as well as a bedroom with a full size bed. Upstairs, you'll find the remaining bedrooms. At the front of the house a set of stairs (NOTE: Stairs are very steep), leads to a spacious bedroom with a king bed and reading nook. The next bedroom, acessed through the first room, also has a king bed. Finally, at the rear of the home, there is a third bedroom with a queen bed, an additional seating area, writing desk, the views of the backyard, and it's own staircase down to the ground floor.

Just across the yard, a stunning guest home provides more privacy for any additional guests. Stepping across the wrap-around deck, you'll enter into an open concept dining room and living room, with a large sectional and dog themed trinkets that will make your four-legged friend feel right at home.

Easy access to the home's beautiful kitchen is just off of the living room, with a large sink and beautiful wooden worktops. Accessed off of the kitchen or through the front door is your own personal wrap-around deck with outdoor dining, as well as a private fire pit meaning you never have to leave the added privacy of this oasis.

Upstairs, an absolutely stunning bedroom can be found, with vaulted ceilings, exposed wood beams, and an additional seating area across from the four post bed.

Other amenities include an outdoor shower, and propane grill at both the main house and guest house.

It’s time to fall in love with Cape Cod, it’s time to go with the Ebb and Flow!

Nice time

We had a great time. The house was clean and accommodating. The decor had a quaint Cape feel. The stairs were a little struggle, and the main bathroom could use an update, but otherwise we have no complaints.

Great place in Dennisport

We had a great stay. It was nice to have 2 houses on the property, as we were traveling with our adult children. Dennis Port tends to have a lot of small cottages, so it was great to find a big place with a lot of bedrooms. The home is nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. The kitchens are stocked well. As others have mentioned the stairs are very steep, so would not be easy for elderly folks to get upstairs. Great stay.

Ebb and Flow

The houses were beautiful and we really enjoyed sitting in the porch every evening to relax and unwind. I already made the suggestion to clarify the listing to state 1 bedroom in the guest house and that all bathrooms are located on the first floor.

This house is well located and nicely decorated. You can tell someone put a lot of thought into putting It together. And if we only had to look at it, it would have been great. Unfortunately, many things about the house were impractical and there were a lot of issues. As mentioned the stairs are very steep. Our own house is old and has steep stairs so I thought I knew what we were getting into but these were so vertical they’re more like a ladder and very treacherous. I’m confused about the other reviews that said they stayed here with multiple generations because it’s definitely not conducive to children or anyone over the age of 50. All three main bedrooms are upstairs and they’re all interconnected which is a bit awkward, especially because the bathrooms are downstairs. There was a patch of tile missing in one bathroom with the pieces piled up. Someone cut their foot on one of the fragments. The shower in that bathroom also didn’t work so we had to use the outdoor showers and the guest house shower the whole time. Both refrigerators were leaking on and off. The listing clearly says there is a dishwasher but there isn’t one in either house which is really a pain with a bigger group of people. We could only get one local news channel to work on the TV. We raised some of these issues with the management company while we were there and to their credit they responded quickly. But it was not the overall experience we thought we were getting at this price.

Cape Cod Trip 2023

We had a lovely stay in this house. It definitely has character from its layout to the furnishings. Everything provided helped us make our stay pleasurable. The little apartment on the side was a nice touch and offered us variety. We were close by to a lot of things so not having to travel much once we settled in. This house is on my friends and I's list of repeat houses for the future.

Family Gathering

This place was just what we needed for 10 adults, 2 infants and one dog. Yard was plenty big to play corn hole, bocci, fire pit to have s'mores and plenty of room for the dog to run. Plenty of beach chairs available for the beach. The two outdoor showers were a hit! As well as having two kitchens. This was the first of a 3-generations gathering and would definitely stay here again.

Wow! This property was everything our family of seven needed. The guest house was beautiful and added the extra space we needed. The only issue we ran into was the shower in the main house was not working. There is a shower in the guest house and two outdoor showers so it wasn’t a big problem for us. We will definitely be back!
