Staff live in the hotel and one of them plays really loud music occasionally which can be quite annoying. Why managers do not stop this practice is beyond me !!! Secondly, Sadly when we arrived they did not have our booking, then they gave us a room, we went out after check in and then they left a note saying the room was already booked and we’d have to move. Also, the booking said breakfast included, but for our surprise it was a room just with 2 boxes of cereal, a bag a apples and a dirty box of milk. Also, on the night 2, outside the room there were people drinking and making noise until very late. Rooms smell old Cooks that live there were drunk. Where do we start! The first room offered was not as in the photos on Hotels.com and where totally unacceptable! The second room was as in the photos, but the photos did a very flattering job! It was just about acceptable! This is also a Pub with just accommodation in the yard, the pub was also being renovated making it even worse. Being a pub it was also very noisy, breakfast was included but it was like having it on a building site. The rooms are very cramped and in need of refurbishing and very very tired indeed, no hair dryer. The restaurant food was very poor and expensive. No room servicing during our 2 day stay. Could I recommend a stay here?
