    About this property

Cottage in Trewalder, North Cornwall, Near Port Isaac & Polzeath - Fibre Wifi

    Family-friendly cottage in Delabole
Ruffcott is a charming cottage with a big windowed wood burner and connected to fibre broadband, located just a mile or two from some fabulous beaches and 12 minutes from Port Isaac. For walkers, the dramatic coastal footpath and the wilds of Bodmin Moor are only a short drive away. In an excellent location for touring, there are many NT houses and gardens within easy reach including the renowned Eden project. Shops and pubs within 1 mile. Trebarwith Strand beach is nearby with 2 great pubs and shops. Tregardock is nearer and totally unspoilt so you'll need to take a picnic. The cottage is fully equipped with 2 DVD players, access to Netflix if you have an account and most important - free wifi internet access is through fibre broadband direct to the cottage, giving speeds of 55mb/s. Central heating is provided through storage heaters which come on several times a day. A big windowed wood burner provides even more heat and of course entertainment. You might want to turn the storage heating down if you don't like being roasted. We are most popular with couples and small families. The cottage is an escape but is also well connected to the world if you want to be. The cottage next door can also be found on Owner's Direct (Ref No. 8156141). Bigger groups have often booked both.
Guest accommodation at this cottage offers fireplaces and DVD players. This accommodation offers separate living rooms. Kitchens offer fridges, hobs, microwaves and separate dining areas.
Bathrooms include a combined bath/shower unit. Additionally, rooms include coffee/tea makers and an iron/ironing board.
The recreational activities listed below are available either on-site or nearby; fees may apply.

Excellent value. Well equipped. Lovely old character cottage. A bit off the beaten track but not too far to some great beaches and other attractions. Lounge lighting was a bit idiosyncratic and we never did manage to get the one over the dining table to work.

      Feeling home :)

We had a great stay in this lovely cottage. We felt home from the moment we've entered and it was a great starting point for us to discover the Cornwall area. We would book it again if we're visiting Cornwall again in the future!

Cosy cottage close to breathtaking scenery, perfect for families

We had a really lovely week at Ruffcott. We were very lucky with the weather which meant we spent a lot of time outdoors exploring. The cottage was perfect for us - very well equipped. Amazing how you've packed everything into such a small space, yet it didn’t feel cramped. I think we did most of the things recommended in the house manual, so thanks for all the tips. I also enjoyed browsing your fantastic film collection! We managed to get to Tregardock beach on our last day, it was just us and a few surfers there, and it was a perfect way to end the holiday. Stunning views and well worth the short hike to get there. I’m sure we’ll be coming back to Cornwall soon.

lovely cottage close to great beaches

Exceptionally well-equipped kitchen, loads of DVDs and good quality books, but we spent most of our time body boarding on Polzeath beach and eating out. Lots of great places to eat nearby, book early if you can - things get full. We ended up driving everywhere, which was fine, but it would have been nice to be able to walk to a good pub/ restaurant.
