Very nice people, friendly and accommodating, Relaxed atmosphere, good continental breakfast. Expedia property details incorrect, out of hours check-in with smart lock codes is NOT available. Staff stayed late to greet us but this is not their normal service.

Wonderful weekend break spot.
Great location close to Ghent, Brugge and other sites. Very helpful and friendly people, wonderful breakfasts, great dinner recommendations, comfortable and quiet rooms. Excellent value for money. I would definitely go back.

Surprising stay in the middle of the countryside
A really surprising place to stay. For us it was just a stop over on our journey from the UK to Denmark but we enjoyed it much more than we expected. The hosts were very welcoming and, despite a mix-up with the booking sorted it out promptly. The room was clean and the bed comfortable but the star was the breakfast. On a Sunday they have a mega-breakfast but it only starts at 8:30 and we had to leave early and had resigned ourselves to missing breakfast but even the standard breakfast rated amongst the best I've ever had. The bread and pastries were fresh and gorgeous and the range of meats and cheeses to go with them was immense. It's in the middle of nowhere but if we're travelling past again I'd definitely book it.

Lovely little place in the country
Very convenient for an appointment I had locally. Also very close to the main road, though far enough away not to hear it. Easy check in and access to place and room all through PIN code. Friendly people and the breakfast was really good.

The address was wrong , owner blamed GOOGLE MAPS for re naming property. We went to address you gave us , using Satnav and ended up 2 miles from property . 5 light bulbs in our room were not working. Arrived at 2.45pm and no one there until 3.30pm

Dear guest, so sorry to hear you are not satisfied, however we would like to clarify. Indeed, our town has merged with another town, so our house number has changed, this is indeed not yet correct on google maps. The light bulbs were not broken, if you had asked for our help, we would have gladly shown you how to use the buttons in a correct way. The hours of check in are clearly mentioned on the website, this is from 15u30 till 21u. However if people have special wishes, we are always happy to look for a solution. We are a small team and then we have to make arrangements, which we happily do. Grtz team Steenhove.

Eclectic oasis

Vieillot mais accueil adorable
Accueil adorable, d’une grande gentillesse et grande serviabilité, mais notre chambre était vieillotte, la douche déplorable et l’aile de notre chambre moyennement propre( poussière, toiles d’araignées) donc pour nous un rapport qualité prix défavorable. Sûrement l’attractivité des villes phares de Bruges et de Gand qui déséquilibrent les prix.

Perfect service and breakfast very close to travel
We were arriving late du to a delayed Ferry from England, But with just a phone Call they were ready to check us in when we arrived! The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent especially some home made ham/mayo-salad was amazing! The only very minor downsides were the bathrooms, where a few tiles were loose and the shower area had a weird flooring that I was kinda scared of breaking

A very quiet place surrounded by wide fields; an ideal starting point for bikers. The bedroom was small but functional. To avoid glimpses from the outside, you have to close the opaque curtain on the entrance door. Therefore, you have to turn on the light in the room even during the day. Large pavilion in the garden to sit and play comfortably. Very friendly staff.

Exceeded my expectations, super clean, super comfy. Water took long time to get hot, but that was about it. Real nice owners who woke up earlier to get us some breakfest as we had to depart earlier. Not the last time we went there for sure

Der Service verdient 10 Sterne. Danke dafür. Am Sonntag war extra für uns es möglich gemacht worden um 07:00 zu frühstücken. Es wurde sich bemüht uns eine Lokalität zu organisieren, an der wir am Abend essen gehen konnten. Auch diese Auswahl war hervorragend. Hotel ist sehr sauber , die Betten gut. Also nahezu perfekt!!

Bathroom guaranteed to break your legs.
Reading other reviews of this location I expected a lot. But we got a small room (ok, dont mind) with a bathroom that was a death trap. Loose tiles on wall and floor and a shower that can best de described as some weak plastic beams that bend down for 5/6cm when standing on them over a pit. Guaranteed to break your foot/leg/neck when using the shower. This was unacceptable and as there was nobody at the reception desk we left after 1 night and took a different hotel for the rest of our trip.

Nice relaxing stay
It was a nice stay and the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast. The only downside was that we booked 2 rooms as recommended by Hotels.com but we were told there were rooms available that could accommodate three people (two adults and one child). Not sure if it was hotels.com problem but we would have much preferred to sleep in one room.

Rustig en aangenaam verblijven vlakbij Gent
Schitterend verblijf met enthousiaste verwelkoming. Goede bedden, lekker warme douche, heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt. Als je gps niet geüpdate is ... huisnummer 41 invoeren in plaats van 37. Dan ben je er meteen.

Tout est parfait appartement très spacieux propre tout en bois, le gérant est super gentil très arrangeant il nous a indiquer un super resto pas très loin de la. Seule point noir c’est qu’à mon arrivée le gérant n’avait pas de réservation à mon nom. Heureusement il avait un appart de libre.

Het hotel ligt in een bos omgeving,maar is erg moeilijk te vinden.Nav.had moeite met huisnummers,Maar hier en daar vragen zijn we er toch gekomen.De fam. die de leiding heeft zijn erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.Alle deuren hebben electr. sloten die met een code werken,dus geen gedoe met sleutels.Aan te raden is om een zaklantaarn in de avond mee te nemen.Knopjes zijn klein en de letters moeilijk te lezen.De trap is een kriem voor ouderen,maar er zijn ook kamers op de begane grond heb ik begrepen. Verder is het er brand schoon en een prima ontbijt.
