The best time to go to Dehtáře is during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is warm and pleasant for outdoor activities.

During this period, the Dehtáře Pond is ideal for swimming, paddleboarding, and fishing, with average temperatures hovering around 20-25°C. The surrounding countryside is lush and green, great for hiking and cycling along the numerous trails. Families will find this time particularly enjoyable, as the warmer weather allows for full use of the lake and nearby recreational facilities.

For travellers interested in cultural experiences and local events, late spring (May) and early autumn (September) also offer good conditions. The weather is generally mild, with fewer crowds than in peak summer. This is a great time to explore the historic towns nearby, such as Holašovice, a UNESCO World Heritage site, without the summer rush.
