We rented a lakeside cabin and were very surprised by the poor condition of it, walkways, rental items, pool areas, and many other facilities at Rutgers. For $385/night $1500 total, we would expect much better than a unit with a rattling refrigerator, tiny pullout beds, literally the WORST mattresses ever in any stay we have ever had, air conditioning that did work, but was pressed right up against the bed, so one person froze in order to cool the others down, foam in the hot tub, no place to rinse feet, so sand was everywhere from the beach to the pool. So many boards are broken and have nails sticking up that the trip hazards are everywhere. It’s a mix between $ spent on flowers everywhere and yet none spent on what matters. And little things like maybe more than one garbage bag, or some paper towels, a napkin or anything more than just one roll of TP in the room for 4 paying adults. But no, they give you less than the cheapest of cheap motels for $385/night. Bare minimum. Very disappointing.
