WOW - What a tremendous find in the Deep Gap area of NC! This host knocked-it-out-of-the-park!! The property was not only brand new, but super clean and filled with all the essentials PLUS a bunch of amenities (rocking chairs were AWESOME). The location was very unique, close enough to town for the tourist experience, but also far enough away for a quiet retreat. The back porch was my family's favorite spot, just sitting and listening to the creek with the sunlight shining through the leaves, smelling the fresh mountain air, and keeping an eye out for the occasion deer amongst the backdrop of (what seemed like) a hundred lightening bugs. We found ourselves reminiscing back to childhood days and uncles that poked holes in the top of a mason jar. It was so beautiful and peaceful, the checkout notice was a sad reminder that our reservation was ending. Communication with the Host was great, they responded timely to our pre-check in question - and the check-out instructions were clear and easy to follow. We will definitely return to The Happy Hour House, and next time bring the grand-niece!
