This 3-bedroom, 2-bath modern home with expansive windows sleeps up to six guests, with two queen beds on the main level featuring adjustable power bases and two single beds in the upstairs bedroom. Central heat and air, ceiling fans, high-speed fiber internet, and Samsung smart TVs (with Disney Plus which includes Hulu and ESPN) in the living room and bedrooms make it easy to unwind in every season.

Spend slow mornings on the large, covered porch overlooking the trout-stocked creek, gather around the stunning floor to ceiling gas fireplace in the living room, or end the day by the fire pit next to the water. For the perfect mountain nap, settle into the creek side hammock and let the sound of the flowing water do the rest.

Easy Check-In and Helpful Details
Enjoy convenient self-check-in and check-out. The address, Wi-Fi details, and access codes will be provided no later than the day before arrival. Because cell service can be limited in the mountains, guests should enter the address into Google Maps before traveling to the property.
Location
From Boone, Happy Hour House is located 8 miles down Elk Creek Road, a scenic mountain road with a few winding stretches and some gravel sections. The property itself is flat, peaceful, and often visited by deer and other wildlife. A four-wheel-drive vehicle is not needed.
You’ll be close enough to enjoy the best of the area while still feeling tucked away: about 13 miles from Boone, 24 miles from Blowing Rock and Lenoir for shopping and dining, 12 miles from Blue Ridge Parkway access with endless hiking opportunities, 21 miles from area ski resorts, and 4 miles from horseback riding at Leatherwood Stables.

Please plan to pick up groceries on your way in. The nearest grocery store is Food Lion, located 11 miles away at 1864 Old 421 S., Boone, NC 28607, and grocery delivery may be available through Instacart.
Guest Notes
- No pets, smoking/vaping inside the house, illegal activities, or events.
- Check-in at 4 pm and checkout by 10 am.
- Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8 am.
- Guests explore the creek and surrounding natural areas at their own risk.
- There is an exterior flight of stairs to enter the house and an interior flight of stairs to reach the upstairs bedroom.
- Starter firewood will be provided, and the caretaker will take trash to the collection center.
- Guest safety is a priority. There is a single ring camera on the driveway. Home has gas and fire detectors, fire extinguisher and fire blanket in kitchen sink cabinet and in grill cabinet, first aid kit in hall bath cabinet, flashlights in each bedroom side table, handrails in showers, and a lantern in hall washer/dryer closet. Exterior stairs have flood light, additional hand railing, and grip strips. Use caution when adventuring, for stairs and creek rocks can be slippery from rain, snow, and ice.
• Elk Creek in Watauga and Wilkes Counties is a hatchery-supported trout water where there is no size limit, no bait restrictions, with creel limit of 7 trout per day. Licenses are issued by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission (NCWRC) and are required for anyone 16 or older fishing in inland waters.
