Clean, great breakfast. The only thing that is weird is the door to the bathroom, which could not be closed. We tried to ask the staff to fix it but it is just not fixable.

The Hyatt regency is fairly far from most sights in Chongqing. Everything is often on the other side of the river which means a 25-30 minute Didi drive. The only pro about the location is that it is right next to paradise mall and walk. So there is plenty of good food and shops nearby. We stayed for two nights and we felt very letdown about the room. It was very outdated with old furnishing, dangerous wallpaper (you can get splinters from running your hand/ body along it- families with children be aware.) When we arrived, our ac did not work. My parents room, the tv did not work. The shower and bathroom layout is poor with sharp edges along the bathtub, my son got a pretty bad gash on his leg from the accidentally coming across the edge of the tub. The shower water gushes out from underneath the shower door, which causes the entire bathroom to flood with water. When we arrived, my husband had to kill a mosquito in the room. Also the rooms smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. We felt like the Hyatt spent all of its budget on the lobby and forgot about the rooms. Can find better for the price.
