    Mead Flat is a large top floor 2 bedroom flat in a Victorian property in the heart of Dawlish. In 2018 it was completely refurbished to a very high standard. The accommodation comprises of a double bedroom with en-suite; a large second bedroom which has a double, a single and a single sofa bed; the main bathroom; a large living room with kitchen and dining area. We use this flat as our holiday home with our 4 boys so it has everything you need for a great holiday. Everything is within a very short walking distance whether it be playing on the beach, running about on the lawn, browsing the local shops and restaurants, or jumping on the train up to Exeter or down to Penzance . Whilst there isn't parking at the property, you can park in the train car park (for a daily fee) or up the hill 5 minutes away for free. Once we are there we don't use the car for days. It is also a great base to explore the Devon coastline as it is next to the south coast path, and as it is not far from the M5, it only takes us just over an hour to get there from the M4/M5 junction.
    Guest accommodation at this apartment offers DVD players and an iron/ironing board. This accommodation offers separate living rooms and includes sofa beds. Kitchens offer fridges, hobs, microwaves and separate dining areas. Bathrooms include a combined bath/shower unit.

      Great flat in a beautiful location.

      The flat has lovely big rooms and looks like it’s been renovated within the last year or so. The bathroom and on-suite were particularly lovely. The bedrooms had loads of space and lots of storage (big built in wardrobes). The decor is neutral but with lovely old photographs explaining what the house and surrounding area used to be like, which I thought was a nice touch. The beach is so close that you have a fabulous view out the front windows. There are trains that go past on a night but with the double glazing it never stopped me sleeping and I’m a light sleeper, might have had something to do with the lovely comfy beds. My son loved watching the trains go past so he was really pleased about the flat. You are well placed within Dawlish for access to other areas, the train station is just over the road and there are a few bus stops nearby. There are a lot of nice restaurants and takeaways within walking distance. There is no parking at the property but the train station does parking passes, a weeks parking cost us under £35. We had a few minor problems during our stay but Andrew was helpful when we contacted him and everything was resolved quickly. We had a lovely stay and appreciated the welcome basket, toilet rolls, washing up liquid and hand wash which meant we didn’t have to rush out to the shops for the essentials on our first day.
