Daviot Holidays from £337

We are gutted to write this review as we stayed here previously and had a lovely stay but sadly the hotel has gone downhill, and I think that’s putting it politely. On the surface it looks great, but there were to many issues to say we’d ever think about returning. Firstly the leisure facilities, one of the main reasons we booked here, looks good but when you’re in the water is murky and doesn’t feel clean. The outdoor hot tub and sauna gets booked out for ‘private’ hire and the whole time we stayed it was booked or not usable (I’m not sure we’d use it due to the cleanliness anyway). Even the changing rooms were lacking a good clean and maintenance (one shower worked and there’s a dispenser with no soap and no lock on the door). The room we stayed in appeared nice, but again the more you looked closer the more issues you find! One of our cups was dirty, the chair had a stain on it, the mould in the bathroom and under the toilet hasn’t been cleaned because there were brown marks…I would’ve complained had I noted it earlier in our stay but we were about to leave and honestly I felt so sick I couldn’t stomach talking about it. Breakfast isn’t worth paying for. I added it to our stay and wish I hadn’t. It’s a buffet but everything was cold, there were 4 empty looking juice taps and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned either. It feels like the staff are stretched and underpaid. One person running breakfast and the reception, no one at leisure centre. It’s a real shame.

Staff in the restaurant were super. Very helpful and polite

Great stay, great food and brilliant staff
