The layout is ideal, with the kitchen, dining, and living area as well as the guest bedroom and bath all on the main level where everyone can enjoy a dramatic two-story wall of windows looking out over the water. More than just a beach house, Ohana carries a deeply meaningful story. It was named in honor of Sonny, a beloved husband and son who tragically lost his life in the Las Vegas concert shooting. Known for his kindness, warmth, and generous spirit, Sonny brought light to everyone who knew him. His wife and mother wanted to create a space that reflected his joyful nature, a place where families and friends could come together, laugh, and make cherished memories—just as Sonny always did. The upstairs primary suite has bay views as well as a soaking tub and walk-in shower all with its own balcony. Upstairs there is also a cozy loft with a daybed and entertainment setup for extra hangout space. This home is very family-friendly, with plenty of room to spread out, easy water access for fishing or kayaking, and relaxing outdoor space (hello, hammocks!) for everyone to enjoy. There’s also ample parking, and you're just 0.35 miles from the nearest Gulf Beach access point— a quick walk, bike, or golf cart ride away. As with all of our Alabama Stays Vacation Rentals, we provide all your linens and towels, Wi-Fi, and a fully stocked kitchen (just bring the groceries). You'll get a starter pack of paper goods, soaps, and trash bags, but go ahead and plan to bring more for extended stays. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, family-friendly spot to relax, unwind, and soak up the island life, Ohana is the one! A security deposit and rental agreement are required with this property as well as a cleaning fee. The security deposit will be a pre-authorization placed on your credit card that you will provide when filling out the rental agreement. My wife and I stayed here for our one year anniversary and it was perfect! The home was very cozy with an excellent view of the bay and had our own little beach at the end of the yard by the bay. We usually go to Panama City for beach vacations so the minimal to no traffic and peaceful island stay was such a nice break from how packed and cramped Panama City can be!
