Daskalopetra Fishing Port

The good: The staff have been very nice and although not necessarily able to solve the issues out of their control, they have been super friendly. The bed is incredibly comfortable. More comfortable than even some of best hotels I’ve stayed at. The room is comfortable with AC and spacious. The bad: There was no parking during my stay. This is a big deal for me as I specifically looked out for properties with parking as I have been on a trip around the Peloponnese, Kefalonia, and will continue to other Cycladic islands as well as Crete. I have driven with no issue, and had parking at each property. Apparently the elevator for the parking does not work. The solution was parking a rather short, albeit not safe, walk to the moto rental spot behind the hotel. It is a steep incline, with no sidewalks, that has a curve. It didn’t feel super safe to walk there. I was told there was valet, but I have not seen the valet driver or anyone there ready take the car to the lot. The hours for the valet were apparently 9am-7pm. I drove by at about 5:30pm, and had to park the car myself since nobody was there. The entrance is not a spot that has enough room for someone to stop to get out to look for the valet or even check in. The road is just too narrow for that. Mykonos is like that, so it is not unique to this property, but on the drive here I saw plenty of other valets actually being visible and providing the service. I booked the room with the jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was gross.

Beautiful hotel, stunning location (don't miss the sunsets). Food is incredible, breakfast like no other! Cannot fault this hotel, highly recommend.

I was nervous about this resort reading prior reviews. We were upgraded on check in to a sea view room, it was beautiful. The front desk staff were all very helpful and answered all my questions. Our check out was later on in the evening and the hotel gave us towels and a place to store our bags so we could enjoy another beach day. They also have a shower stall near the lobby. We used the loungers next door at yialo yialo for 30 euro each front row, 25 euro each for second row and back. Hotel transport contacted us via what’s app to arrange transfers. To town was 35 euro each way. From airport it was 40 euro. Breakfast was continental style buffet, a variety of choices. The beach and location were gorgeous. If you’re booking a budget room then expect that, that’s the same for any resort. If you book the sea view you should have no complaints. This was a great hotel for us (middle aged mom and teen daughter).
